All of the old Paramount Park pages are really messed up coding wise, it's not hard to see how Hypersonic could accidentally appear on our website.

The construction going on at Carowinds is 100% NOT for Hypersonic... it's a gigantic site with footer markings ranging the entire length of the park.

Ok...could people be hacking the Carowinds website to mess with us? I mean an actual Carowinds Thrill Ride page for Hypersonic? I mean it is on the page and everything. If not, is it an old idea that never happened and is just laying stagnate on the page? Are we getting two coasters in the newly cleared area (one being our new hyper and the other being XLC? I am curious why that page is there!

oh, fine, now is as good a time as any, was just trying to stir things up a bit.

i was looking at the attraction page's source code, and realized that all the attractions use a very similar structure across all three parks websites. carowinods attraction IDs start low, and keep getting higher, so i just changed the attraction ID a the end of the URL. keep going up from attraction ID 99 and you'll get many other KD rides to show up on carowinds sites. looks like the former paramounts servers share alot of their scripting on a central server. so when you request the attraction id of 99 for XLC the carowinds server sends that request out to another server asking what attraction id that is, and the server fills that request with the XLC data. however the carowinds server knows that it should be filling in the top and bottom pictures from it's local website, tha's why you get the carowinds toolbars. that's also why you don't get the picture of XLC on the right hand side of the page, because carowinds.com doesn have http://www.carowinds.com/images/attract ... nic_lg.jpg stored on their servers. in fact, if you to to http://www.kingsdominion.com/attraction ... m?ai_id=99 you will see XLC still listed on the website.

i went all the way from attraction ID 1 to 620 something before i started getting blank results. i was hoping there might be ride data on the site that just wasn't linked to yet.

^Whats funny is I did the same thing trying to confirm diamondback's name. You can find just about any ride from the old paramount parks at any of the other parks. I found Dominator on KI's website doing the same thing. The other site that people have posted that is underconstruction seems to be pretty legit. If the name isnt White Lightening I will be extremely surprised.

Keith, are you saying the website isn't real or are you saying that the page is just under construction from Cedar Fair still and there is nothing to look into yet?

Well, I guess that was confusing. Sorry. :/ Hmmm... I really don't know how to explain this.

I just think that they're setting up the subdomain for future purposes. The clues *seem* to point in the direction that White Lightning will be the name. That, I don't argue with. What I think is a bit ridiculous is that it seems that some people are overthinking this simple page as "another clue" or some jazz like that.

I'm not sure if my meaning is still coming through. Ha! Gimme some time, I'll have a better answer for you.

Thanks for the video post Wormy. I will never be more upset with them if it is a stupid nascar theme. Ill be the guy in the park saying lets go ride the hyper to my party and not whatever they name it. Anyone else think that may be why they are leaving some of the pavement alone?

^ The only problem I have with it: It's a failing industry. I don't think Carowinds will be investing in NASCAR, and that we will have just a generic racing theme with the name of "White Lightning"...
