I think that this new RCT will still have the similar "grid-style" when constructing things.
Another simulator/game is Theme Park Studio which also seems pretty interesting.

Looks like Atari is just cashing in on the Roller Coaster Tycoon franchise name. Visually, it looks no better than RCT3. I wonder how the gameplay is . . .

I think it looks even worse, which is pretty impressive since it's been 11 years since RCT3. Frontier (developer of RCT3) is making a game called "Coaster Park Tycoon" (how creative), so I guess we'll just have to wait and see if that one is better.

Yup I still prefer RCT 1 and 2, I play them way more than RCT3. The only thing I like about 3 is that it has the old rides of 1 and 2 and the new rides you find in parks today.

I plan to start an LP of RCT 1 within the next few months. I love that game. I might even do an LP of all of the expansions too, I don't know yet.

I'm fairly new to the group, having just joined in the past month. Just out of curiosity how many of you have ever or still play RollerCoaster Tycoon? I grew up playing that game and still play it occasionally and it never gets old.

I still play RCT2 occasionally. I follow the rct subreddit and it's incredible some of the stuff people are making on there.

I would be playing it if I could, but I have a MacBook... If I had known RCT wasn't able to be played on it... I probably still would have gotten a MacBook, but it would have been a tougher call.

I still play (typically RCT 2) as often as my schedule allows. It is such an easy game to completely lose track of time playing, so being as busy as I am now with school and work, it's hard to find time. My friend and I used to have a custom park (still have it saved actually) that we would update and email back and fourth constantly for the longest time. She was a beauty.

Ended up buying ScreamRide, I am not sold on RCTW. I was really hoping for RCT2 with the ability to ride the rides. Looks like 3 to me, the only reason I play 3 is the Soaked! Expansion.
