After hours of looking at those flags while riding Intimidator over and over, it seems apparent to me that all the markings around that side of Intimidator are to run irrigation lines for sprinklers or something like that.

Does anyone know the official opening date for the new slides? Even though the layout is complete, I was wondering what the time window still was until the slides opened up to the public!

Just a few days ago gabed and I watched the final piece of the slides go in. A ride operator later said that they were going to be open at the end of June although I doubt he knows much, being just an operator. Hopefully he is correct.

The park is closed on the 29th for a "private event"...maybe that will be when the new slides and HH will be opening up

Private events have nothing to do with ride openings. The private event the park is mentioning is a park buy-out, probably by a local company treating it's employees to a private day at the park.

If you are referring to a media day of sorts, I doubt the park will have one.

Just went to Carowinds today. When I went to the water park, the water on the new water slides was running and there were guys in Pro slide shirts riding the pipeline wave slide. Only a little but more of concrete to be poured before the slide is ready. Oh, and the tubes on the pipeline wave (forgot the name) were one person tubes and the two guys riding were going almost to the top of the wall, so I couldn't imagine a cloverleaf raft going down. It would probably fly right off the top.

Yeah I'm not spending my money til those slides are running. Waiting to buy my pass next year. Hopefully they go up before my vacation. I wonder if the new coaster will open halfway through the operating season like these slides seem to ne doing.

What gorgeous pictures, looked like a terrific day.

Looks like they are strategically picking up the tires so they are finished with that at the exact moment the slides open... I'm sure I'm not reading too much into this at all.

I believe the font is an attempt at theming. I am wondering if the single steel beam is going to match the rest of building or stick out like a sore thumb.
