Everybody's going to have their own opinion one way or the other, but since the general public is ignorant to the heights of the rides, putting a number in a HUGE one like that may not clue them in that it's the tallest in the world, but will at least show them that it's 325 feet high. I can definitely see the benefit in it.

"Soaring a world record 325 feet, Fury 325..."

"The newest ride at Carowinds, a world record 325 feet of Fury: Fury 325!"

Another thing, they probably already have market research for what the Intimidator 305 name did at the other park. So they likely already know if it's a good idea or if there's any benefits to putting the number in the name, and have apparently decided for whatever reason that there is a benefit worth repeating.

If we really do get "Fury 325" opening day next year will be just insane. We went opening day the last two years and I said we wouldn't do it again but I will definitely be there opening day if the rumors are true.

I'll be honest, i'm a little skittish. I'm not sure if I'd even ride one that huge. I might go just to watch the spectacle, though. The line would be longer than the track on opening day, it'd be fun to watch everybody get off the ride for the first time.

Pretty much as expected, so sparing the commentary; make your own analysis (and a little common sense wouldn’t hurt). Again, the back bus lot was open, so this area was accessible to the public. Tried to get these as “in situ” as possible.

Exciting update wormy! Seeing the area by the Hurler finally getting torn up first leaves no doubt in my mind where the station will be. I would also expect teaser banners to be going up around the park anytime now.

If the load station is beside the hurler I hope they change the theme of the entire thrill zone area. That oldies music they play is terrible and just doesn't go with the thrill zone theme.

After almost a year of fighting and arguing, I can't believe this thing is finally happening. It was a long and brutal winter. So far, this ranks as the most anticipated coaster of the next season and all eyes are on us. This has never happened to Carowinds before, so i really don't know how to act. I feel like taking off all my clothes, jumping into my car and riding around the parking lot honking my horn with a can of Budweiser in one hand. I hope 325 is the magic number.

sorry guys I dont think Cedar Fair is gonna build a world record setting coaster at carowinds and then do something to tip their hand 2 months in advance. I am 99% sure Fury 325 is not the name.
