I've been doing the Planet Coaster Alpha. I just got my key for Alpha 3 which was released yesterday and "should" be the final before the November release date.

It is a whale of a program. Way to many features to get into but if you are a creative soul then this is your sim of choice.

I only hope they smooth out the coaster build / ride aspect. I don't expect it to be on par with NL2 but hopefully they will smooth out turns and elements.

Yes it does. Early Access ends and the full game is finally being released.

All they've actually been selling at brick and mortar stores was a CD key to download on steam.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World vs. Planet Coaster. That may not seem quite such an epic showdown as some of these other classic games, but here at least there is an unequivocal winner. Although since Planet Coaster is one of the best simulation games of the year it hardly seems a fair fight.

The battle is so one-sided we doubt we’ll even bother giving RollerCoaster Tycoon World a formal review. After years in development hell it was suddenly dragged out of early access to be ‘released’ the same week as Planet Coaster, despite being patently unfinished and a nightmare to control and play. Thankfully Planet Coaster is the complete opposite.

To me Planet Coaster is the most polished and is only limited by your imagination. But the great news is that it has built in support for the Steam Workshop so you can upload or download creations from within the game.
