I think they turned that trim on so much is because it's starting to get warmer. I'm sure that by summer it will be going faster then is has been, so the trim won't be so bad. I also think the ride really hasn't been broken in much yet. ...

Is there anything we can do concerning the second trim, or is everything pretty much set in stone?

Sometimes I just feel like cursing B&M for their obsessiveness with trims and calculability.

... someone updates saying otherwise I'll be spending my 3 hours to drive up to i305 instead of 3 down to Carowinds. I loved the return run and the trim brakes are just about the dumbest thing ever added to the world of coasting. Quite sad to hear that the Intimidator I experienced opening weekend ...

I have to agree with Jonathan..... And I will be "that other guy" :D That first trim on the way back has effectively RUINED the best part of the ride.. It throws you forward in the seat. IMHO, way too much. If it would grab like the first one it'd be perfect.. ...

I've never even felt the pre-turnaround trim (though I've heard it while in the backseat on opening day, no feeling) so I'm not sure why they would be messing w/ that one unless it was throwing some kind of error. The 2nd one however - pure evil.

... but it is possible that they have created a beast on there hands. Sorry for the pun. I could be wrong and maybe they are just going to add a trim or some more wiring and sensors or something along those lines but as of right now it would certainly start to appear that way.

... is still on the lift hill (2:08pm). http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh354/livinlife101_/stuckonlift.jpg Saw maintenance out working on that trim before the turn around. Not sure what was up, but after it reopened we rode and didnt feel it catch at all.

^ That is exactly why i305 has taken the top position in my mind. It's trim brakes are completely necessary (or the train would slam into the brake run, overshoot it, and bad things would happen), whereas Carowinds' trims are useless. At no point will that ...

... 11, then when I went back to the ride at noon it was a walk on in the single rider line. Now, I hate to be "THAT GUY", but the second trim brake is murdering the two return hills. I don't know if they went out there and intentionally cranked up the brakes, or if it is responding automatically ...

Did they slow down the lift? or did they put a trim in? Because I dont see how it goes from everyone greying out to no one.

... waited about 10 minutes. We got assigned front row for our first ride, which was awesome. I gotta say that I loved it, even with the abundance of trim brakes. It's my favorite B&M hyper so far. (Then again, I've only ridden Nitro and Apollo's Chariot before this). It was a pretty good way ...
