I have just migrated the website to a new host that should make everything a tad faster but more importantly more reliable as traffic continues to increase leading up to the announcement on August 21.

Our new host is A Small Orange, a small business founded in Atlanta, Georgia and now located in Austin, Texas. I am hopeful and confident that the errors and downtime that kept cropping up over the last couple of months will no longer be issues.

If you notice any problems with the site please reply to this thread or private message me so we can work on getting them corrected.

Some posts may have been lost during the transition so I apologize for that.

Soooo big apologies for the downtime over the last 36 hours or so. A website that I host for a friend had a security vulnerability which led to the host suspending the account. Usually this is no problem and could be fixed within minutes, but in this case there was a day and a half of complete radio silence as they failed to respond to any of my messages. Things were only restored when I tweeted at their parent company using the CC account.

Obviously I'll be looking at moving to a new host now. The web hosting world is a huge mess, with a lot of worthless companies and most review sites are completely useless because they allow companies to pay to post fake good reviews. I went with A Small Orange in 2014 because I believed them to be an independent business (formerly located in Durham) with great customer service. And that's what they were until recently. What I did not know was that they had already been purchased by Endurance International Group, a giant corporation that buys up hosting businesses and then runs them into the ground. There is a pretty good read here on the recent demise of A Small Orange.

So that's what happened. I wanted to provide an explanation for everyone. If you ever need to host a website be very careful who you use and remember that review websites cannot be trusted. One of the only worthwhile ones is http://reviewsignal.com/ which does not allow paid reviews and pulls from Twitter posts to create rankings.
