Yes, I know that Vortex was there with the Lake. Vortex was built on the land that the race-car track was on back when it was in the bottom of the monorail station. I think Vortex is as small as it is because they were limited by the lake and Sternwheeler on one side, the park path and Goldrusher on the other. I mentioned Vortex because, unless they revamp it in some way, it's really outlived its usefulness to me. I know a lot of people love it and I even try and ride it once per visit just to check it off.
I'm suggesting creating a new Lake and removing 2 coasters and replacing them with 1 (I know that's sacrilege). If the coaster is good enough with a high enough riders per hour, I think it would be a win-win. ... and yes, I know that there is still a LITTLE BIT of water there now. The lake was really like a doughnut in the past with the island. Lets make it a bigger body of water this time. Let the coaster interact with it in some way... underwater tunnel or splash feature. ...even a pseudo splash feature like Manta would be cool. Would be cool to have some trees and benches around it too. A great place to relax and watch the ducks or geese. ... and oh, by the way, a great coaster to boot. Could be a nice wow-factor on the park side of the entrance bridge.
... but I digress since we're getting a bit off-topic...
