I could have sworn that I read a Screamscape article a few years ago talking about how B&M was discussing the possibilities of a launch coaster within in the next few years. (Which would be now) This could be the "World Record Breaking" thing that everyone has been talking about, considering that it would be the first of it's kind. Yes, I know just because Screamscape may have said this doesn't make it official in any way, just a thought. I hope I don't look like an idiot for saying this.

What would be the record? World's longest launched coaster maybe? It won't take tallest or fastest since Kingda Ka and Formula Rossa have those locked down.

Yeah I don't see B&M going for a launched record of any kind. Not because they don't do launched but because launched record breakers tend to have more issues than B&M tends to want to deal with. Heck, launched anything is more than they want to deal with which was why they didn't design the launch on Hulk.

If you know what it is then dont hold out on us lol....I'm just excited in general that there is something new coming...and untelling what cedar fair has in store for carowinds further on down the road...them building a satellite office in charlotte is to me a big indicator that they are serious about making carowinds the "cedar point of the southeast"...we already got one "est" ride with the intimidator, hopefully more to come

Not to dampen your mood or hopes, but a dive coaster in the cedar air chain is HIGHLY unlikely for sure. If you want to ride one the lovely busch gardens parks are available. It's just 4.5 hrs up the street (williamsburg) and 8 hours down south (tampa).

Yea there has been enough speculation already. Time for more solid information. At least who the manufacturer is. But it would be nice to know what type of coaster as well. But I guess we are forced to wait until August unless more details begin to leak out. But time for more confirmed reports rather than just guesswork.

Hopefully around the time Harmony Hall is complete they will begin work so we can get a better idea of what we are looking at

I agree too much going on right now for them to be concerned for 2015. They have to put up the slides and finish all of the things that will open by this year. I'm sure 2015 isn't their main concern right now considering everything going on.
