^Yeah, if they wanted it to do anything with Nascar, they would need a license, which is inevitable if they were to use the Dale theming. But, I still doubt the Nascar thing completely... I expect it to have a name and a paint job with no theming whatsoever... we are talking about CF here...

What if they made a coaster that was themed as a super hero (Spiderman, X-Men, etc) at Carowinds instead of NASCAR?

I like the name the Intimitador. Can't say I like the colors red and yellow though seeing how some other certain park got a hyper last year that was those exact same colors.

Also, there may be another park getting a coaster in those colors for next year.

Nobody said what the colors are, all speculation. The fact is Cedar Fair likes red track and yellow supports. We are confident we are getting the red B&M track. Just going on history.
As far as Intimidator, I like the name, but not themed to NASCAR. I am thinking personally people connected the name to Dale Earnhardt, who had the same nickname. We'll see what they end up doing. I am not sure that if they theme a coaster towards NASCAR that they are going to draw more of that crowd to Carowinds.

If they call it the Intimidator, I think the colors should be black, white, and red, although I think that might infringe on the rights of NASCAR.

Just to test to see if I doing this right "Carowinds" is trademarked by "Cedar Fair L.P", and was filed for by "Kings Enterainment Company Corporation" in 1986.

^ GM just went under... that's the #1 used brand(s) [Chevy, Chrysler, Dodge etc.] used in Nascar, so Nascar is unstable right now as well because of the Automobile Industry. I would hope Carowinds is smart enough not to use a name that could mean nothing in a few years....Plus, Carowinds wouldn't pay Nascar for the name "the Intimidator"... they would pay the Earnhardt Family because thats who it belonged to, not Nascar.

"Intimidator" is not trademarked, however "The Imtimidator" is by Teresa Earnhardt(See following link). Do I know if the use of "The Imtimidator" compared to "Imtimidator" changes anything, nope, I don't. However, I am sure someone on the boards does. I will say this, Paramount Parks has trademarked "The Hurler" and "Hurler" so I assume that there is difference. Furthermore, there is two other trademarks for "The Intimidator". It may even come down to the use of the trademark. Anyone know trademark laws, cause I only know basics if that much.
