General Carowinds discussion

These questions are just ummm...wow. The transfer track station is not shown in the renderings/videos because the creator decided not to include it. I imagine there will be a shop similar to Afterburn's. If nothing else, it will at least have a photo booth like Cobra has. The structure you see going up is the transfer track station. Not sure how you can't make out what that is. :?

Let me see if I get this right here and correct me if I am wrong but they are building a coaster and people are wondering about buildings around the coaster? Just when you think you have saw it all there always seems to be something that makes me stop and say what in the heck?

three hours...seriously?? yikes.
ok, we need some wait time management techniques, time to start planning now. after all, it's only like 7 months away! I am a newbie as far as opening season for a big new ride which is bound to be very, very popular. I have some questions:
-any chance there will be a single rider line? I think this has been discussed, and I recall the consensus was probably not, but thought I'd ask again (probably wishful thinking, but you never know....)
-any chance Cedar Fair will bring some kind of "fast pass" thingy to their parks at some point? I hate the whole idea of more money buying more fun, but in this case, the hell with my egalitarian and democratic ideals, I just want to be able to ride that thing. a lot.
-I have never had a Carowinds season pass before- what kind of "advantage" (if any) are season pass holders going to get in terms of getting more rides on this baby without waiting for more hours? Early park admission? or ?
-my people and I (four of us) were thinking we would play hooky from work on the second Wednesday of the season for our first visit, in order to minimize lines--is that a good plan do you think? what about Wednesday the first week? I'm willing to wait a bit to minimize the lines, but I do want to get there ASAP after opening day.

With A season pass you do get early admission I think its 10 or 15 min. before the park opens , and also as far as going during a week day that is a good idea the lines are shorter but may still have to wait. I have always found that if you go on a day they are calling for rain nobody is in the park so that is also a good idea.

I am new to this site. I am not sure how this ride will do when first opened. I am originally from Ohio, so Cedar Point is my home park. I went to the Point in May of 2003 when they opened Top Thrill Dragster. I stayed at the Hotel Breakers, which is a Cedar Fair hotel right outside CP's gate. I stayed there because as a perk, they let you in the park early and give you exclusive ride time on certain rides. That year it was supposed to be Dragster. However, we were not able to ride Dragster because they were filming commercials or technical issues (I was mad). So in my opinion, I would not try going early in the season because they may do the same at Carowinds or they could have tech issues. Going during the week any time is better than the weekends.

Dont forget, the best perk of all, FREE SCAROWINDS :D
