A snake... say... "Mamba" bright Green track, Yellow supports, B&M can make more of those cool DB cars... It looks good in RCT3 too ...

Who's next???.

yea,yea i like that idea. But doesnt runaway reptar have the same color as that,so no not green and yellow?

And we already got a snake coaster (carolina cobra)!

Don't know if this would affect the name at all, but "Mamba" is already in use at another Cedar Fair park, Worlds of Fun. Now, Cedar Fair isn't usually known to use the same name 5 or 6 times...*cough*Six Flags*cough*

I wouldn't be suprised if they used that name for either this project or the KD 2010 project...since KD's will be located in congo it probably has a better chance at getting that name however.

JamminJ wrote:^Even then, footers are by no means are where the track will be. So even if you did get an accurate plot of the footers, it would be just that; footers. You really wouldn't be able to tell where the track would go.

Yeah you could. The track would go between the two footers that are in pairs (the two closest together pretty much). If it is only a single support for that area, then the track goes directly overhead. You could get a general idea for the layout at least.

WHat if you got 2 footers that are like this...

- -

The support piece doesnt have to be one way. It can be like this...
Image
vertical leg and angled leg

or like this...
Image
The traditional "a" support

or...
Image
a vertical support connected to another vertical support, holding up 2 sections of track...
Now explain this one lol...

I never said it would be easy to pinpoint how the layout would look, but sometimes its a matter of looking more 4 dimensionally at what possibilities can be.

Column design is tricky, especially in this picture below because when they built Diamondback, the rides columns had to be placed so they would avoid existing utility lines, but also be able to strattel existing structures and still support the ride.

I'm not sure what underground utilities Carowinds has in that area where the pink markings are, but I'm going to bet that the supports on this ride wont look much different than Behemoths, which was built on a low grassy hill next to a man made lake.

This looks like the most likely for the section that runs down the parking lot. There only appears to be two across for most of the way.

Im not even gonna say the fact that these are 2 different machines of different calibers. Yeah KD is getting track but guess what...that track is just gonna sit there until the footers are set AND supports are errected so whats the point of getting track that will just sit for several weeks or even over a month...

For all we know the track can be shiipped in a day or so to the park since the plant is withins a days drive away however intamin, you just cant drive that track over...
