This is almost unsettling. We're lucky we are getting ANYTHING at all. Be thankful you'll get to ride a brand-new B&M hyper at your home park next year. Is that not good enough for you? At least we aren't being forgotten about by Cedar Fair, like we were by Paramount.

Look under "thrill rides"

LOL...That's the park advertising! From an enthusiast standpoint, I've never heard anyone say that about it. ^ I agree...

Yup. Getting a Giga Coaster might help that claim substantially though.

That's very true, but never go by an amusement park's website. :D

Also, I was at the park today and construction is moving along as normal. I took a few pics but they aren't post-worthy.

^Paramount was SOO terrible to us adding one of the best B&M inverts in Afterburn as well as possibly the greatest flat ever in the flyers.

Also the forums are equipped with an edit button. Please use it.

Kings Dominion has a thread for its coaster. Please use it.

Well, Cedar Fair sees Carowinds as a "growing market" and a park to invest in.

So did paramount...I mean there are some cedar fair parks that havent gotten much of crap in the past years...what does that say? Did cedar fair forget them or what?

hey everyone. i know im new but many of you may know me, i am the grandson of cowboy bill greene, a regular at the park.

well ive been reading up on this site for a while and decided to finally post. well i have long heard of this rumor of the KD giga, but have also heard alot of our new coaster and if these rumors come to be true then i would prefer the B&M hyper over any other type of coaster.

Dear Carowinds Officials:

Please stop reading this thread immediately.

Furthermore: the opinions expressed by 99% of the new posters should be ignored.

Please continue construction on "whatever" you are building for "the future".

That is all.

Hey! I know cowboy Bill. Helluva great man! Talk about dedication to his hobby. Has he ever missed a coaster event in the south? I've seen his trademark hat in group photos far and wide. Tell him Ken said hey!

Instead of letting the crap pile up as it has over the past few pages I will start deleting any posts not pertaining to the current construction at Carowinds. I will also start deleting any and all "whining" posts. Good examples of this would be "Why is KD getting a larger coaster?" and "When is our track showing up?"

We have a forum for non-Carowinds related issues. Please use it.

ok, forgive me, you guys are more up on this stuff than me.....What are the trims??? Is that basically breaks along the line to slow the coasters down a little when they get too fast?

That is right for the most part David. Trims are used when the train may be going too fast for a certain area. If the train isn't going fast enough to begin with then most of the time the trims won't activate. Sometimes the trims are barely noticeable but also sometimes they can really ruin a ride. It all depends.

The train has just passed the trim here on Raging Bull.

Found a close up of a trim on Talon at Dorney.

Note do not confuse these with the mid-course brakes which are used primarily for blocking purposes. :)
