General Carowinds discussion

Could be that what has been planned there didn't require as much grading and they are building with the lay of the land. Here they may have wanted to do more site prep. Maybe they are going to put in a splash down at Carowinds. Maybe the company that is building their coaster does things different than the company that is building Carowinds coaster. PLEASE, just be patient and enjoy.

How many frickin times has this been said in this very thread!!! And if im not mistaken by you!!! They are not building the same exact coasters and you dont know for a fact if carowinds or kings dominion are behind or ahead of schedule!!!!!!

KD's coaster was probably prepared way before ours so it couldbe done and ready to ship. If ours is a B&M, then theres not much rush as it simply just has to travel down the interstate. Intamin would probably like to make sure there is plenty of time for all the coaster pieces to arrive.

How do you know KD and Carowinds aren't getting the exact same coaster type? :? And you don't know whether they're ahead or behind schedule either. I and others have every right to question the speed of this project so lay off.

***sigh*** im gonna hate myself for replying...

First of all...I never said they were not getting the exact same coaster type just as no one as said they ARE getting the exact same coaster type. All you are doing is whining about carowinds taking to long to build THEIR coaster. As if it belonged to you and you were paying them out of your pocket. Besides "long" is relative. You and I dont know how long it is gonna take to construct the coaster at carowinds. I mean how long did it take to build expedition everest?

All I can say is keep saying the same thing over and over (after jay have expressed his take on all the whining about things taking too "long") and watch your post start doing the dissapearing act... *(*(*POOF*)*)*

All I did was compare the speed of our project with Kings Dominion. I never said things were taking too long. I just said the pace of construction was slower than that at Kings Dominion. That's not whining and there's nothing in the rules saying I can't have opinions on this forum. There's not much to talk about right now due to no track on site yet, so i'm trying to start discussion. Apparently it worked. ;) I wasn't trying to get you guys upset with me. Sorry. :)

If its not much to talk about then why dont you just shut up...

There is a thread (again pointed out by jay) for discussing the kd project. Discussing the "speed" of 2 different projects built by 2 totally different crews is redundant. Do you have a progress sheet to show if the pacing is slower...you are just basically blabbing at the mouth...yeah, basically.

If you wanna start a discussion talk about what kinda concrete is used for coaster footers vs other concrete...thats more relevent than the speed of another coaster of a different caliber

Same for you too. KD and Carowinds open around the same time of year in 2010, so actually it's not redundant at all to compare the speed of the two projects.

Interesting... do you have a direct link to this info?

And I didn't mention this in my last post, but "the dippin dots guy" told me today at the park that they are storing the track off site and "prepping it or something". Take it with a huge grain of salt. And no it wasn't the actual dippin' dots guy.

This is off topic but anything to change the subject but Im almost willing to bet that carowinds already have bought a website for the new ride in 10
