Hooligans is no where near the coaster construction site...It all depends in whether the guy was surveying behind the store or in front. Behind Hooligans is the Southside Pavilions near the South Gate where the presumed location for the turnaround would be in close proximity. Maybe the coaster could slant into the park a little and the turnaround be over the Southside Pavilions...? But I really don't think this would be a footer location or something related to the coaster.

He isnt but he seems to know...the contactor...the designer...the butcher...the baker...the candle stick maker...

I mean the guy is really in the know!

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell everyone my name is Claude Mabillard...

Obviously, no, I'm not building the coaster. Notice I used the words: "proximity" and "presumed." I made a guess as to what COULD happen. That's what this thread, and all the other roller coaster speculation threads in the world are... Guesses.

Spoken like you know the entire construction site...

Hence people asking you how do you know.

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that the new ride will not go near that area. Maybe they finally have some idea for that random little area with the path going through it.

That's the most important path in the park when the South Gate is open.....It leads you right to Afterburn and toward the Flyers!

I've heard that the park's GM Bart Kinzel has been making some plans for the park besides 2010 and beyond as in improving things in the park, like possibly a front entrance overhaul and other improvements around the park.

Well, with all the bickering going on over stupid stuff I almost did not post but I want to thank CF for giving us, what we all expect to be HIGH STEEL. I have never been a “fan boy” of CF but they do have some pretty darn good rides. I have been going to Cedar Point longer than most of you have been alive and have enjoyed every single visit. Being a native of Ashtabula, Ohio it was only a couple hours away.
The dirt moving is getting interesting and thank you all for the pictures. For the last 2 years and this one I have not been on my normal coaster tear and I thank those who actually go to the park and report what is seen and what is fact. Although the dirt porn is getting old. I would also like to NOT thank the “informers” or “those in the know”. You must like wearing eggs is all I can say.
Looks like 2010 is the beginning of a great future for our park.

Does anyone live close enough to the b&m plant to get any pictures? It must be months since I've seen a new one. For all I know, there could be tons of track on site by now, with cranes waiting to load them on to trucks when the time comes! At least I hope so... :)

That has been posted before, and my response was "you might have a hard time here since just about everyone on this forum lives in North or South Carolina. Try http://www.kicentral.com or http://www.kiextreme.com."

But I will not say that this time.

Instead I will say I'm going to Kings Island next weekend and could maybe possibly perhaps swing by to see what is going on? :|
