Unless it's reappeared, the pothole that was there was fixed. There was no noticeable jolt during the ACE event on November 19. But even as bad as I heard it was, I can figure out how that would've caused a concussion to just one person on the train.

In my 6 or so rides, I never felt so much as a bump there let a lone a jarring action. Maybe it's a seat thing? I had 3 rides in the front, 2 in the back and one in the middle and never felt anything.

The way people described to me what was there before almost sounded like the track segment settled and caused a significant change in the running rail elevations. Something that would definitely be noticed.

When I rode in mid June with ECC, there was no bump at all at the base of the first drop. When I returned in Sept., it was pretty bad, worse on a wheel seat. The front seat was the best as you did not feel it at all. DW has at least acknowledged this and hopefully this will be fixed for 2017. Still my #1 woodie.

I voted for an RMC built from scratch. Hurler needs to be bull-dozed.

Hurler just needs a good retracking, like in the above picture. I'll be riding it much more this year, now that more track work is being done.

Now, just remove that trim brake and a lot of us will be happy campers

Hurler needs the trim brake removed and the reminder of the structure examined for improvements. Turn 3 was retracted twice in 2006; once during the offseason and once during the middle of the summer. The results weren't long lasting. Turn 3 has been much better and stayed much better since GCI made the changes.

Well, Hurler isn't in the way . I think TR suffered from being in a dead end area and that return trip was really rough. Also, it was two of the same coaster which, to me, was reason to not have the other side running as it never really raced anyway. Structural wise, I think hurler is cheaper to keep up. Well, that design because look at thunder run. It sat dormant for all those years and was still worth keeping and it opened before twisted twins.

I know you don't really understand ROI based on your past comments as well as this one (since this wasn't about ROI and more about cutting loss) but Ima do you a favor and explain anywho.

After having spent several million on the ride already and having Approved a budget for the revamped water park, when GCI came to the park and told them how much it would cost to completely demolish the lift hill structure, rebuild it, and bring it up to code, the park decided it was better to cut losses for the ride instead of investing several millions more in a ride that didn't get the ridership to justify the amount they were going to have too spend. Because you don't invest money in something that isnt going to at least get that money and more back to you. That's ROI.

Thunder Road had the same ridership in 2014 as it did in 2006 when it was the most ridden ride in the park. Hurler still has less ridership than Thunder Road.

2014 isn't 2015, and It sure wouldn't have been 2016 numbers. Based upon the "crowds" of people in that section of the park. It stayed empty back there mostly. Heck, a lot of people had a hard time trying to find Dark Harvest, let alone Thunder Road. Just look at PvZ. It has very low ridership unfortunately. I miss that coaster, but I'm much happier with the new improvements. Not only me, but the thousands that visited the waterpark each and every day were too...

A) Where did you get your stats? Because Carowinds doesn't release those stats, so unless you have proof of that, I call B.S. Proof or it didn't happen...

B) Thunder Road's ridership obviously wasn't enough that they, from a business standpoint, felt they could put THAT much money into it.

The difference between the two of us, I know how much GCI said it would cost and how much work had to be done. You're still stuck on stats you made up a decade ago.

Edit: And EVEN IF what you're saying were true, that's beside the point. The park is NOT going to spend the amount required to fix Thunder Road when it wouldn't have given them a return on that investment. They couldn't market Thunder Road again and get an attendance bump to justify the cost.

I worked at Carowinds in 2006, they told us ridership for the major rides and the Carousel. They spent 5 million of 7 million needed to rebuild Thunder Road so at some point they thought it would be worth it. So as I said "what was the ROI on the 5 million they spent rebuilding it?

I understand more than your troll self does, plus you know **** about running an amusement park? You have done it? How many tourist attractions have you worked it?
I have worked at 3; Carowinds, Emerald Pointe and a railroad museum so yeah I understand how they operate.
