General Carowinds discussion

Once again I'm not Dani, but just in case she doesn't see this in time, I'll chip in my educated opinion: That is probably going to be an issue. Once the park is closed the entrance gates will probably be closed; you should try and find a way to get back in before the park closes to the public.

Jonathan- thanks. You are correct. If you are leaving and coming back, that is fine, as long as you are back before the park closes to the public (10PM). Be sure to keep track of your lanyard because it will have the schedule of events on it--so that you know where to find everyone.

If you leave and ARE NOT coming back, I'll need your lanyard, this way I can tell how many Coaster Stock folks are in my groups. (You can keep the lanyard cards, though.) If you cannot find me, you can leave it at Guest Services.

I look forward to FRIDAY, guys!

REMEMBER- if you plan on registering an item for the Carowinds Museum, please tag it with your name. We will register day of as well, but let me know if you need a form in advance to better explain the rules.

Park News - (7/21/09) With disappointment those in attnedance at KennyKon reported back that the big announcement they had been hoping for was really just an announcement regarding a future announcement yet to be made. Yes... they pretty much just said, officially now, that they would be making a big announcement in the future. They then asked everyone to write down they they THINK the announcement will be for and WHEN it will happen. Apparently anyone who is right and has the closest time/date to the real announcement will receive some kind of special prize pack in the mail.

I read that and the first thing that came to my mind was Coaster Stock. Hopefully the "big announcement" isn't gonna be like that. I doubt it will...but being the pessimist that I am, I'm gonna be ready for anything. If it is, my guess for the announcement would be sometime in the fall, since that's when the announcement for Cobra was.

I am 100% sure that there will not an annoucement at coasterstock, from what I have heard the annoucement will be in august. We may start getting small teasers. However thats kind of common sense that it will be in august.

There is always a chance I could be wrong, but I have a strong feeling we will not be getting an annoucement.

I think I would be more concern of just going to the Park and having a great time this coming friday if I was going. I mean whatever happend to just going to the park and having fun and not worry about an Attraction that is coming in 2010. I know it would please alot of you folks if something was said but just go friday and enjoy yourself.

That's exactly what I plan to do. :) I haven't been to Carowinds in a few years which means I haven't gotten any rides on the Flyers or Cobra yet. :(

Yes. It could be an invitation to the coaster announcement at the park. Just a guess though.

That is what I am thinking.

However on In the Loop Dani said the gift would be something coaster geeks would want to collect so it maybe really cool and awesome....

However don't worry about that! An hour with the best ride op in park on the flyers with a lot of people who know how to snap..is awesome..
