Sometimes, they need to let supports and track 'settle' before they move to the next section, and when they do this, usually a crane has that said piece of steel tied to it to prevent it from falling.

They are ahead of schedule, no need to rush things.

Not that I'm interested in naming this thing, but surely we could do better than Timmy? How about Herbert, or Bartholomew, or Esmond, or Skip - something cool like that.

They were busy drilling and pouring more footers along the parking lot. I really couldn't get a good zoom shot of them working, but there was dust everywhere, even in the rain. The security lady was nice enough to let me take camera shots of the track pieces through the fence. Now that I have an adequate perspective, I am convinced that the skytower is not as tall as people say it is. If Afterburn is only 113' or 144' or whatever, the size of Intimidator nearly doubles it. Skytower looked only a mere 35'-40' taller from all angles.
