General Carowinds discussion

I think we are on to something big here! I think it would be great to have an interactive que, something like "The Nascar Experience" and then continue this experience thoughout the ride with sound on the trains until you end your "racing experience" in victory lane. Maybe if it has a splashdown the speakers on the car could make it sound like the car wrecked are whatever. Anyways, this idea is great and would really put Carowinds on the map. Not to mention the media coverage this coaster will obtain with NASCAR backing it!

5 times.

Come on now people, this is no Paramount here, we're talking about Cedar Fair. They are the minimulistic park company. You don't get no fancy theming, no store bought names, -no nothing. I was surprised when KD ended up with a splash down, which B&M probably threw in for free. If Fair could get away without building a covered station, their coasters would not have one. With that said, I ain't mad at them, give me a little more substance and hold the fluffy stuff.

The signs start...

Hey birdie, you know anything about what they are putting in???

I also noticed today riding Afterburn that the fence goes all the way down to the South Entrance. I didn't notice that before. Surely that's for track storage, nothing else would go there or would need that much space.

Also the dirt hill is becoming a mountain it seems! It seems to be getting bigger and not smaller. Maybe for a helix?

How dare they! Now Carowinds is beginning to funk with us with that sign. Would'nt you like to know? Heck yeah we want to know, don't they read the blogs? Make it so bad, they drilled tiny little holes in the fence for us to peek in. What are they going to do, poke us in the eye with a stick while were peeking?

Does anyone know if the name "Intimadator" is trademarked by nascar? If it is not CF could trademark it use the name and nascar would have to pay CF everytime they use it. Thats a thought to put money back in thier pockets. Could be a smart move by CF IF nascar did not trademark the name. But I don't know.

Nascar may not have it but I am sure the Earnhardt's do. Like the Kannapolis Intimadators Baseball team.

I don't think the Kannapolis Intimidators would have the name trademarked like that. Their Logo yes. Teresa definitely has anything with the White on Black 3 trademarked. Nothing I have seen that says "The Intimidator" associated with Dale Earnhardt looks to be a trademark name. Nothing seems to come up in "trademark-info.net" either.
Quite frankly, I wouldn't associate "The Intimidator" coaster with Dale Earnhardt Inc as far as a license goes. I wouldn't give that *itch a ride to the gas station in the rain, much less more money she didn't earn.

Yeah...wonder if Teresa likes roller coasters.

If it did happen, it'd be pretty cool to have a train dressed up like Earnhardht lookalikes for Media Day. If the sunglasses don't fly off during the ride. Maybe they'd call it the Intimdator 500?

You know, I found the program for Top Guns media day a few days ago. I wasn't into NASCAR then at the time and had no idea that my future favourite driver, Mr. Stewart, was there. Of course, he'd probably have to fit in the big boy seats now on a B&Mer. Unless he starts eating Jarrod again.
