I can't recall if someone mentioned this here or not (I start to lose track reading the same stuff on multiple boards), anyway someone said Clint from Coaster Crew got a media invite for the KD coaster and it also has a racing theme on the invite.

So I guess CF is doing like last year with the jungle and snakes, but racing instead.

Don't hold me to this. because Im not sure its true or not. I was told It will be 240 feet tall. That would be great if it turns out to be true. but if not, Im happy anyways. even its just around the same size as diamondback I will be very pleased. Diamondback was a amazing ride and its going to be great if we get one like it.
Anyone going to the park Monday. Im gonna try and go monday , but not sure at this point if I will get too. Would be great to meet up with some of you guys

^ OH, I'M HOLDING YOU TO IT!!!

Anyway, just to throw out another random idea. Could he coaster have a partial launch, like you start up a traditional lift, then half way up it lauches? Or the other option to launch out of the station, then after maybe a turn or two it goes up a lift.

I know B&M does do launches though, so I'm still doubting a launch.

And also say hello the newest merchandise employee at Carowinds! It will be nice to have some extra $$$ coming in, and I'll probably keep it even if I find a full time job.

According to someone over at kdfansite the event invitation for the 20th says that a special guest from Dale Earnhardt Inc. will be attending the event. Hmm... Could both coasters have the same theme?

Congrats! Anything is ALOT better than nothing. There isn't ANYTHING on our job search at work for anything in Charlotte, so I guess I'll just hunker down and hope I stay for a while.

Look what I found:

August 26, 2009. If you attended Coaster Stock, we will draw your names from the registration cards you filled out, and FIVE LUCKY people will be invited to attend the Announcement Event and be the FIRST to know the details of this earth-shattering new project for 2010.

Agreed. There isn't hardly a park out there that wouldn't talk up their new ride. They're selling this to the public... of course they're going to throw around all kinds of awesome sounding terms and slogans.

Kings Island sent out press kits with a monstrous bolt (supposedly still the smallest used on the ride) attached to a card that read "Think big... no REAL BIG" to hype Diamondback... then announced a coaster that was the same basic 230' tall, mile long coaster that most B&M hypers are built as. DB was just a few feet taller than Son of Beast, and it was over a thousand feet shorter than SOB and The Beast... yet they talked it up like it was going to be the largest coaster ever built.

It wasn't even close.

The park is building anticipation. Carowinds is just creating hype. And for a general public who doesn't know all about/hasn't ridden coasters all across the world, a "standard" B&M hyper will be 'earth shattering' and 'history making'.

And it will be a helluva ride.
