Just think about it logically. Your speed is already slowing when you are traveling uphill. Slowing it more with a trim isn't a natural motion, but it's a lot more natural than slowing it while you are accelerating traveling downhill. You would probably get thrown forward a bit if it was trimmed in the middle of a drop.

Also, it gives the front of the train a nice burst of airtime as the trim grabs (at least on Diamondback, and Intimidator's trim has the same setup).

Dangit! My awesome pictures somehow exceeded bandwith! I don't know how since I posted pics here and like 3 on tpr...does anyone know if the pro photobucket acct is worth it?

Won't they be back up again at the beginning of next month? I wouldn't worry about it -- but I didn't get to see them the first time, so go ahead and spend your hard earned money, Jarvis!

If we are correct in that our ride only has 1 trim (a one clamp trim at that!), that is quite amazing. It looks like this thing will haul *** over those return hills if all goes well! From the looks and position of our one trim, it doesn't even look like it could do much if it wanted to... that's one very tiny very alone clamp brake to slow down a very large very fast train.
