I'm guessing he won't be taking his chances? I could be wrong.

I take that as they won't be in places that that they could get into trouble. No sense in pushing the envelope.

I am thinking about posting mine..however I want to go coasterstock. He did say if we post pics of backstage, which we did not go into, they would find our usernames and take our passes away. I dont want to banned. I will think about it.

Wormy was awesome hanging out with today, some really good laughs. You'll see what I mean friday...

I was at KD yesterday and I was hanging out in the parking lot with my pal Jason when some guys in 2 pickups pulled up and went into the fenced off area and started pulling out binders and large papers. I snapped a whole bunch of photos and am using the alien blowup software to get a better look at it. Security did not stop me and several people saw us walking around that area, I'm surprised that Carowinds security stopped you guys if you were not in an off limits area.

Guys don't let little things like that upset you. As you get older you will learn to let it roll off your backs and not even think about it. Yes it is private property, and yes they can restrict your access, but frankly it is not that important. They only took your info to appear important. Real cops do this too. 9 out or 10 times they will never open that book and look at your info again. This form of intimidation is tried and true and is very effective in scaring people. Take all the pictures you want, unless it is posted; 'don't photograph rides in this area.' But keep in mind, this is private property and the rules can be made up as needed. They do have that right. I would not sweat it though, cause you are not important to those guys. It is their job to make you sweat a bit.

That doesn't make any sense that you can't take photos past the orange cones. What about on Saturday's when they remove the cones and people park all the way down the parking lot? Can you take pictures then? This smells of someone having a superiority complex. And, why not bring something like this up at Coaster Stock during the Q&A - simply say there has been some confusion as to when and where we are allowed to photograph and ask for some clarification on Carowinds' rules.

Hell, maybe this is part of their viral campaign. They were giving you a hint at the name of the ride by intimidating you guys.

Any place you can get to in the parking lot by car could not be "off limits." I know how you guys feel. I was stopped by 2 security cars a few years ago taking pictures of Thunder Road from the parking lot. None of the parking lot was blocked off then. They really just wanted to know what I was doing. I don't remember if they took my license or not, but I know they took down my license plate info. I showed them the pictures on my camera and then I left. If the area is not blocked off, I don't know how they can keep you from going there.

I was taking photos of the parking lot fenced off area with two officals , and a construction worker on site. The officals didn't say anything , nor did the construction worker , but they two officals looked at me for a time period. They shouldn't stop you , but they can if they feel that they do not want you doing what they see. I don't think the officals minded me taking photos.

Maybe the best thing is not to go past the cones folks. There is really no need to try to upset the boat here folks. Please remember that you are on the property of Carowinds and they do have a right to tell you that you can not go past the cones if they see fit. Though it would be easier if they do infact post signs telling you not to enter.

I am not on the side of the park her folks before someone wants or tries to attack me. I am just saying it is easier to do what is ask of you and not try to do something that will get you booted from the park for a number of years and then when that coaster is up and running the only thing you can do is watch it. Is it really worth it to try it.

Plus if I am not mistaken the park does not run this website so tell me just how they will get your username and track you down? Last I look my friend Mr. Hawkins payes the bill for this site for us to enjoy. I would think they would have to go to him to get that info and I am sure he might be reluctant to give it out.

But lets for once takes the advice of Rollernuts and stay out of those areas that would be considered questionable. Would really hate to see some of you guys and gals not able to ride what they are building at Carowinds or any other Cedar Fair Park.

And thanks for the picture update folks.
