General Carowinds discussion

Ok so here is a question, because i don't know. If we got a launched coaster like Hulk @ IoA, But ours was over 200 ft, would it be considered a launch coaster or a hyper, or a launched hyper? What is it considered? Thanks for everyones input.

I would consider it a launched hyper. Now that would be awesome ride.

I don't think they would for this project. I dont think the footprint would be big enough, honestly. I really dont think they would.

No worries, we can all dream right

I have never been on a Giga so I cant say anything about them, but I love hypers. So I am really happy we are getting that.

If they did, it sure as hell wouldn't be at Carowinds. I don't even think that it's gonna be as high as some of you guys say it is. Carowinds hasn't even broken the 150 foot barrier yet, why would they go right to something 300+ feet.

FAIL.

WHAT?! Hyper coasters are defined as anywhere between 200-299ft tall, whether it drops a full 200ft or not. Both Goliath's ARE "technically" hypers. They just don't have as big of a drop as the others.

i'd say launched hyper.... but i really doubt it's going to be launched. Even if it is racing
themed.

Enjoy!

i really like the ending on this one, but i don't think we'll really see that on the official layout. good job on it!!!

overall i still think it's going to be a regular B&M Hyper coaster, but as for the "record breaking. history making" part, I'd say it will most likely be the tallest, longest, and/or fastest in the south/southeast.
