General Carowinds discussion

I doubt very seriously anyone is behind schedule at the plant. They're at a point where they're probably not going to bring much in in the way of track until the park is ready for it. Every week someone thinks everything is behind schedule, but according to the park they're not. Stop worrying that there isn't a constant stream of track, people, LOL.

I'm guessing Clermont is right on schedule for fabbing track anyway as they've moved on to other projects (Baron 1898) now.

As long as there's track in the parking lot, there's no cause to worry. They've certainly still got enough track onsite to keep them busy at least another day or two. Ohio is having some weather issues this week. The weather could be slowing the trucks a bit. Now that this high pressure system is overhead, maybe they'll get some more trucks rolling. Predicting rain for the first part of next week.

They've still got to build Slingshot at some point...

Actually, this picture is of a retractable trim brake. Note the compressed air tank to the right.

This really puts it all into perspective. I can almost feel my stomach dropping when looking at this. I mean even Thunder Road will turn your stomach, and Intimidator always has a suprising feeling of weightlessness, but I can't imagine what this ride is going to feel like. Wow wow woww! :D
