General Carowinds discussion

Sounds like Winter Warm Up was a great event. With great food and hospitality provided by Carowinds. Must have been great to see Fury up close. But I will definitely be there sometime when the park opens in the Spring.

Someone clear this up for me please.
When John was presenting the Carowinds Presentation and it came to the point of "Top Secret" I thought I overheard him say to get out cameras, take pictures and such, and share it online. Is this correct? Josh do you know? If this is incorrect, then I'll need to cut-out those parts of the video and construction tour. As far as I know, we were allowed to film that part.

I don't recall John saying anything about NOT recording during his presentation. The only ones were SFoG, SFFT, and ASA.

Well, I'm late to the post party. However, I'd like to give props to all the parks that sent perks and goodies this year. Looks like we have to plan a trip to Holiday World this summer. A big THANK YOU is headed your way.

As said in the previous posts, the food at Carowinds this year will be fantastic! Especially during the Taste of the Carolinas Festival! I'd have to say, the brunswick stew was the best I've had. Drinks in the mason jars was a nice touch.

It was fun hanging with the group. And I got to meet a few New faces. The video tribute for Max was great. Try uploading it to Vimeo. That's where I put all the videos for my Christmas display. Haven't had a issue yet. Amos, I don't think we are related. I don't have any relatives in the part of Va you are from.

The car unveiling was indeed a surprise. That metallic grey Will look spectacular in the sunlight. The only sticker on it is the logo. I hate I had to leave the tour early, but work called. Someone has to have you'ns backs right?

See ya in 2 months!

Pat

Okay, thanks!
Now I don't have to re edit over 3 hours of video. I'll go ahead and upload it. Be warned though, it's all one video: not in parts.

Yeah, it's all of the video that I got from Saturday including introductions, some of the presentations, and the entire tour. If I have to, I'll split it into parts.

Like everyone else we also had a great time at the event Saturday. Everyone visiting Carowinds will be in for a treat with all the new food options at the park. Really hope some of the items we had on Saturday are included in the all season dining plan as they are a welcome change from the usual items I would eat at an amusement park. I would also like to thank all the
parks for all the free goodies we received(Taking our first ever trip to Dollywood and may even upgrade to season tickets seeing as how cheap they will be) See you guys opening day. :D

OK Famous. It was a great event, and I’m sure you got some great stuff, but unless you used a steadicam (some of us will get seizures), EDIT. Pretty sure we don’t need to see Carowinds animations and renderings you filmed that we’ve all seen hundreds of times.. that ought to shave 15 minutes at least.

Other than that, let it roll. :)

just want to thank Josh and Carowinds for putting on a great event. It took some convincing to get my kids to come to Carowinds to not ride any rides but between the great food and giveaways they had a great time. This is our first year with season passes and we were able to get them processed at the campground after the event. The only regret is that we did not do the food plan. I just wish I would have known how much better the food was going to be as adding it would have been a no brainer.

I just watched the whole thing. The camera I used has a shake feature on it. I'm surprised it didn't shake very much. I will edit the video into two or three parts to give the ones who didn't attend a full experience. Not everyone has seen the Fury animation (believe it or not), so I'll leave all of that in there. (It would only be a 7 minute difference).

Right now, I'm waiting for some smaller files to upload to see if YouTube will block it or not due to some of the songs. Reason being is that for my computer, it could take a few hours to even a day or so to upload HD video (even if it's only 20 minutes long), and before I waste all that time, I want to make sure that my video won't be blocked.

But I'm working on it. I'll go back through it and cut out what is unnecessary.
