General Carowinds discussion

Just as a comparison, look at a real Coke can with a share thing printed on it. There is a little white swoosh thing under the big word. The Centurion one doesn't have that, plus the font is smaller and slightly different.

I vote that the park purposefully placed it there as a teaser/conversation starter as they know we'd see it eventually.

I applaud you guys in PR on the efforts you are making to keep us on our feet.

EDIT:

Would they spend money to place a can that 1% of the visitors will notice and even less know the reference?

Yes. Yes they would.

I stopped by the park today for a few and I tried the create-a-coke thing. You can't get a can made with an unusual name. I tried Dehvin and it didn't work. It's hard for me to believe that Centurion is in the database but Dehvin isn't. Not saying a coke can is proof that the name will be Centurion, but I am saying Carowinds is doing a great job trolling us.

I have ZERO understanding of why "Centurion" excites some people here. I think it's HIGHLY unlikely Cedar Fair is going to suddenly start a new theme at Carowinds based on something Roman or anything else. I really hope they don't call the new Carowinds roller coaster "Centurion" . I could care less about the theme, the track color, the name (other than I think Centurion sounds stupid and far from scary or intimidating) or the station. They can call it the Hello Kitty- Lady Gaga coaster for all I care, I'll be riding it if it's as fun/fast/big as we hope.

I suspect the theme and station will be stainless steel queuing line with chains, along with triangle shaped canopy pieces for shade, just like all the other rides Cedar Fair "themes." If I want theme park I'll head to Florida. Carowinds and KD and CP are just places to ride rides.

Headed to Cedar Point for the second time next week, haven't been in five years.

99% of the time the crew is slowed down by people who are still putting their belts on or by people who straight up sat on their seat belts. Just an observation.

Not their fault, they weren't aware that seat-belts had been added.

Then I guess the Intimidator crew can't be blamed for slower cycles.

I placed it there...

Yes the park would do that. A few years ago at CoasterStock they put out fake survey stakes with codes that made people think a Huss Giant Frisbee was going in front of Intimidator. ;)

That name is so specific that I am willing to bet the park did it. That also means that there is now only a small chance that the name will be Centurion.
