General Carowinds discussion

Well the teasing has gone from Centurion, to Roman theme, to Fury 325, and now Hornets and a burned net. But they are now hinting at a bigger monster, too big for the beekeeper to handle. And I was told the teaser signs in the park emphasize something ferocious. So the actual name may turn out to be something different altogether.

Then sounds like there may be credibility to that aspect.

I wasn't dropping hints. I was stating a fact about it being 4-across seating like Leviathan.

We really don't have a lot to base this off of but if it gets to the end of the work week and there is no track here I will be surprised. This was the week I was thinking we'd see our track. I do have a question though... Other than the announcement poster (their teasing seems bipolar anyway), why is it that we are assuming the teal/neon yellow is our track and not the Leviathan blue that was on the trackbeds?

^Are we 100% on that? If it is on flatbeds, it will go somewhere on this continent. SFFT maybe? I can't think of another park in North America rumored for a B&M.

Cedar Fair does enjoy their two tone B&M track.

Raptor, Mantis, Hydra, Talon, Behemoth, Gatekeeper, Vortex (CGA), am I missing any?

I think someone on TPR posted a picture of Mantis being test painted on a small piece of track... It had the same two tone design with the bottom of the track being painted. Not that it means anything, just saying.

I can tell you that a Greensboro radio station will be posting updates on their social media sites. I'm not sure about streaming the announcement live, though.

I won't be. By the photos, and what was said about the first pieces that are fabricated, it looks like they are just getting started on our coaster. There are also lots of HW track still on site as well, which means they are finishing that, otherwise it would have been cleared out by now.

Has anyone noticed that those curved pieces of track match B&M brake run track? I'm starting to think what ever THAT coaster is, it will be something we've never seen before (because why make a bigger piece of track (more cost) if its going to act as a regular piece of track? And B&M doesn't have any curved brake runs).

Oh Jesus, are you saying that we're looking at a Mid-Course Brake Run?

Oh Lord, I'll take trims instead.

[EDIT] I think those are for the turn back into the station after the brake run. We are probably looking at a straight-out-of-the-station B&M.
