Could've been something small related to welding parts or something. It doesn't appears that it was bad whatever it was.

Crap. I was hoping a few of the welding embers made their way over to Hurler...

I didn't think Wicked Twister was that great, mainly because of the twist going backwards. I thought Possessed at Dorney is much better since you go up straight backwards. No matter what seat you are in, you are looking straight down at the ground.

The day I lose the adrenaline rush of riding a roller coaster is the day I'll become a carousel enthusiast instead.

If Hurler catches fire then the immediate area(including Fury 325 would have to be evacuated, the treated wood would produce deadly smoke and deadly chemicals far worse than a normal fire.

I actually like Hurler - at least the times I've been lucky to ride it without the trim at the bottom of the lift hill. The speed you take those hills in the back has good air time and it's a fun coaster. With the trim on it, it's just a waste of good real estate to me. They completely neuter it. I do, however, understand why the trim is there.

So was it ever determined what all the roman teasing and Centurion name was for? Could those have been the original plans for the ride and something changed? Just curious.

I was just thinking about how much work it was just to mess with us

The general consensus on here is that it was based on the well-known epigram, "Rome wasn't built in a day" meaning that there were big changes coming to the park and that it was a long term commitment.

The station now has power as the transfer track has been moved. We're getting closer to testing!!

I'm sure Centurion was trademarked for more than just to play with us. Maybe it was an early name for the ride. Perhaps they'll use it elsewhere at Carowinds or another CF park in the future. But they didn't register it just to fool around.

If I remember correctly, wasn't the trademark suspended? I thought we already went through this on the speculation thread... :D
