As for the Centurion name, I figured that was just a name Dick and Bart were throwing around, but when Matt, and then Mike, took over, they decided to go for a more Carolina based 'theme' with the hornets and changed it last minute to something they already had, Fury.

But that's just my imagination...

Ok now that is cool. I would have never of guessed that something as simple as some hexagons would make something like that that much better, It should really amplify the sense of speed in the tunnel. Much better than empty looking tunnel form the animations.

Whew, I see a lot of hand going back down. You know there is plenty of room but everyone is going to be dropping the arms. I too am curious as to what the lighting effects will be. We can talk about them but to see them is going to be great.

I thought the same thing! Even though my brain knows there will be plenty of room, I'm sure my arms will go down...at least the first time through. Awesome picture, though!

I know the animation showed landscaping there on the left of Fury 325 under the bridge. Looking at Mike's picture, though, it would be really cool if that were a path where you could walk under the bridge and get closer shots of Fury 325 as the train flew past.

I wonder if each of those hexagons will be like the walls inside of Space Mountain? The ones on Space Mountain pulsate quickly with various colors. It would be cool if that is how the tunnel will be.
Speaking of the tunnel, I asked Steve if there will be a misting effect or a fog machine of sorts. He said no... for now anyway. They want to see how it will look before they decide to add anything like that. But then again, they could make some last minute changes for all we know. It's happened before.

I love the "jetsmoke" on Afterburn, when it is enabled. But if what I am visualizing in my head comes true, this will be better.

I went to Carowinds today and was amazed at the size of Fury 325. I seen this on Intimidator and was wondering what it is.

How did you get that close to the Intimidator when the park is closed?

We parked in the drop off lot and they had it open so you can walk into the parking lot.I wasn't going to but i seen an elderly couple by the fence of Intimidator taking pictures so I walked over there to try and see what this was. I didn't go into any areas that were marked off limits.
