That curve by the pole had the entire right side of the train ducking on every ride I was on Sunday! Great times!

Whatever you do, don't go to tpr looking for stellar reviews. They are just the most sour bunch of a#%^&$% I've ever had the displeasure of reading posts from (esp today). I'm only on there to keep up with other places. I post once in awhile, but only if it's something helpful about some park I've visited. I hadn't done a trip report on there since my trip to Dolywood last year around this time. Those folks aren't satisfied unless they come off a ride with 100 sec of airtime, blackout for half the ride, and come off bruised like they've been beaten with a bat. There's no sense in even trying to defend the park and/or coaster on there as it would be a waste of time typing.

Anyway, I can't wait to come ride in June. I'm a little jealous watching on webcam, but at least being able to watch has hyped me up even more.

short review, Media Day was awesome. Shout out to Axel for letting me be his +1. Carowinds spared no expense for this event. Rolled out the red carpet, literally. The anticipation was insane. When they finally cut the ribbon, there were pyro effects, fireworks, confetti. It was a blast. Fury is now my #1 coaster. There is no comparison to MF or any other giga coaster. This coaster is non stop fast. It doesn't let up at all. So many head chopper moments. I guarentee you will duck past a few poles. When I got off I was interviewed by some lady wearing a green dress, no idea who this person was. I then headed over to Timmy and then on to the free food. OMG the food. There was so much and it was so good. After I couldnt fit anything else in my stomache, I headed back over for a few more rides on Fury. We were all given a free gift bag when we exited which had some nice stuff in it. I posted pics in the other thread.

They put up a POV video on Youtube, entitled "Official REAL Front Seat POV of Fury 325 at Carowinds Amusement Park!". I guess the one that Carowinds released a few weeks ago, of the first test run, was faked? I read a couple of the reviews over there, and closed the page. I like it much better over here. :D

I'm glad to hear that Media Day was a success, and I can't wait to hear more of the reviews today, and see it all in person in just 50 hours! (Not that I'm counting).

I will say one thing. That latest POV really captures the sense of speed and wind noise (and also is centered for those OCD people out there complaining about the first one that was released.) Also captures the speed change of the lift chain pretty good too.

TPR is biased at the very least, but there's some level-headed people on there as well. Fortunately someone who had actually ridden refuted the 'no airtime' feeding frenzy after that tweet. I am glad to be able to read input here!

If I'm surprised by one thing it's how quick the lift chain is, I can't wait for a night ride.

Seeing the great reviews makes me jealous of all you guys who went. Now I'm really hyped up for Friday. Hopefully, the rain in the forecast may drive off a little bit of the crowd.

Try not to be so hard on TPR. All they have right now is one negative Tweet that a few B&M haters took and ran with it. The one person who actually rode Fury gave it a glowing review. We will have to wait until more reviews come in. But one thing folk should remember. This coaster was not designed for airtime. IMO, the fact that it has any is extra. I like I-305, but after one or two rides, I'm done with it. Not everyone wants their brains forced out through their ears. Trust me B&M knows better than anyone what it takes to make the perfect ride experience. Fury appears to be the best ever done. I'm proud we have it.

Oh, their video is very good, no doubt! I've seen their videos on Youtube a lot, and they've always been great. I think it was just seeing the word "Real" in their title that threw me. Of course, I spent 3 hours on hold this morning (for work), when I would have MUCH rather been at Media Day (or anywhere else, really), so I fully admit that I could be a bit overly sensitive right now.

Yikes, I'm not sure I want rain hitting my face when I'm traveling 95mph.
