General Carowinds discussion

Hi Dani, I have a few questions about Coaster Stock... I only skimmed through this topic quickly to see if these have already been answered and couldn't find anything.

1.) Is there a certain age restriction, or can anyone come?
2.) Will the park be closed on July 24 for CS only, or open to the public for those who aren't attending also?

Thank you. :D

I have one more question. Can we just buy the Season Pass meal ticket once we get there or do we have to order it online?

Also, this is off-topic, but on the Carowinds website, on the main page it says "2008 season pass" and "new for2008"
I guess it is just a mistake, but I don't know how long it's been like that, I only noticed it just now.

I am not Dani obviously, but I can safely say that as long as you pay the money most any age could come. And yes the park will be open for everyone that day, which is why Dani and the crew have arranged fun activities throughout the day to keep us occupied and out of lines.

I just gotta say, the timing of Coaster Stock is pretty perfect. It's the day after Warped Tour, so I'm already probably getting a hotel. Makes hotel reservations very easy. Just book 2 nights in a row. Although, I have a feeling I'm going to be pretty worn out after Warped Tour & Coaster Stock.

BTW, do we have to arrive at 7 am for the ERT? Is it alright if we arrive at like 7:45 or 8? Or will we have to wait till the park opens to the public at that point? Also, is there any different lot/entrance that we're supposed to use for coaster stock?

Hi Guys-
JamminJ, thanks for answering some of those questions for me. You are correct.

Here are a few more answers:

* Tickets must be purchased in advance to attend Coaster Stock events.
* The meal ticket must be purchased to attend the event, and will not be sold day-of.
* The tentative cut-off date is July 20, 2009 to purchase tickets
* All tickets must be purchased ONLINE (go to www.carowinds.com and click on "Concerts & Events" or at http://carowinds.com/shop/shopping_corporate_partners_list.cfm)
* If you already have admission (SP or other), you only need to purchase a meal ticket.
* Entry will be through the main parking entrance at North Gate, and you'll meet at the North Gate to register at 7AM.
* If you do not arrive at 7am, there will be an escort into the park to the ERT every half-hour (7:30am, 8am, 8:30am, 9am, & 9:30am). Otherwise, you will need to wait til the park opens. If you are late for the event passed opening and need to know where to go, the detailed itinerary & your event lanyard will be available for pick-up at Guest Services (this may change to Admission Services, but I will keep you up to date).
*IF YOU ARRIVE LATE, past registration, you will need to see me sometime during the day to sign up for your FREE SURPRISE to be mailed to you at a later date.
* Ages and restrictions are the same as the park's general policy. Please go to http://www.carowinds.com to check rider heigth requirements. Ages 2 and under are admitted for free.

Please let me know if there are any further questions. I am easily reachable.

Thanks,
DANI

Will the comp ride photo be available for a set time such as ERT or can it be redeemed all day?

ParkPro-to your now deleted first question--Probably not.

Is Coaster Stock going to be an annual event or will we find out next season? I hope you plan on staying at Carowinds for a while because enthusiasts have it made. I have never seen a PR person that is interacts this much outside of the park.
