I apologize for the down time everyone. Jonathan is currently on vacation, so as you can imagine me trying to get the site back up is tough task. Should be fine though for now I guess.

Here's two coasters at carowinds, and the cost to build them so it sort of gives you an idea of what our new coasters cost will be since its gonna be the most we have ever spent on anything.

I am surprised at how little bit of track has been delivered to carowinds with the announcement wednesday... Kings Dominion had a whole parking lot FULL of track... anybody have any ideas as to why this is the case.. any updates available??

Because KD's track is coming from overseas. Carowinds track is coming from Ohio and doesn't need to be shipped until it's needed.

I can't believe no supports for the brake run and/or storage shed have been put up yet. I would've expected a couple supports and a piece or two of track.

^ KD has all that track and supports and they have put nothing up and the opening date for there coaster is april 1st. If you look at diamondbacks constuction from last year the coaster was finshed in jan. way before the opening day.

Actually, they did put up about 6 supports the day before the announcement (or two days before).

I wouldn't think Carowinds would be in a rush to get any vertical construction going yet...

They only reason Diamondback was put up quickly was to beat the Ohio winter weather. Charlotte doesn't get all that crappy weather during the off season so they prolly don't see a need to rush the construction until they are good and ready.

But, they did not put then up till after the announcement so I think we will see stuff going up after or on our announcement date because the same thing happened with the cobra after the announcement date we seen more progress.

Huh? KD's supports started going up two days before the announcement date.

First time posting here, but was just thinking, if all this is correct about it being Earnhardt themed, being the proximity to DEI, wouldn't they have made sure that the larger of the coasters was the one coming to Carowinds? Or, if not bigger, the presumed better of the two coasters.
