^I think it is a safe assumption that if you have not received an invite by now you won't receive one. Will (The Jet Coaster) said he got one, but there were plenty of people at Coaster Stock who don't post on these forums. There will be plenty of media as well as 'coaster people' (including the webmaster of this site) at the announcement so I think its fair to say there will be enough coverage for everyone. I think in general you can get the info for the ride quicker on the internet, not to mention all the renderings and stuff that will come out while most people are still milling around the park.

ok now i have to ask. why does everyone think that we are getting a hyper by B&M? i have read that B&M were supposed to have a contract for 2 hypers and now i look and see the KD's coaster is a GIGA made by Intamin. wasnt all the talk that both parks were getting B&M hypers?

for all those who wish it wasn't Nascar themed, have you ever been to a race? And whether you want to admit it or not, Nascar is a huge sport. The recognition that carowinds is going to receive will be more than you can imagine. Carowinds will be put on the map so to speak. Carowinds needed an attention getter. Man I can see DEI racing a Carowinds car in a few races.

Yes, I have been to races for work. Posted right at turn four. To be frank, if I hadn't been paid to be there I'd of left after an hour. It's just not for me. Give me some drifting or off-road rally racing and I'm all about it. That's my opinion, and I know it doesn't apply to everyone. Also, I don't see anyone who isn't woo'd to Carowinds by a B&M hyper changing their mind because of a theme... Then again, some people spend entire Sundays watching cars go around in circles, so what do I know?

is there a dei anymore? didnt Theresa merge with chip giving him the majority and they just kept the name Earnhardt in it for the fact that the name is so well known. i think dei is only a nascar replica now. Theresa sold out but would not sell to her own step son. what a shame

Yes , that is what he is doing. The Coastercrew (Clint and a few others , I think Will holder . I am not sure) will be at the event doing a live feed. Clint told me that they'll be there asking people on the midway before the announcement what they think the new ride will be etc. Then they'll have the feed just like KD . I think he is uploading a video of the conference as well.

In defense for a sport I lke, there are two road courses they race every year. Those can get even more exciting than the other races.

You know, that is odd that Carowinds shuts down a week earlier than the other parks. It is even more odd that they would announce their "History Making. Record Breaking." coaster on a day the park is closed.

I'm assuming that they have gone to weekends only for the same reason every other park in the South has... school. This takes away their customers AND their employees. Not to mention the law about school kids working on the weekdays.

I think schools up North are starting this week or next so obviously they can stay open a few weeks longer.

If its the same clint that refered to the carolina cobra as "caroline cobra" and kept showing b-roll of saturation and the log flume...then im sure he doesnt know the park is closed...

Question i know this is off topic but did they dismantle the log flume or just rip it apart? If they dismantled it, do you think that they will put it back up somewhere else? and another thing i never said anything but before i had any idea of the roller coaster coming up i was starting to think they were just going to move the flying super saturater over to where the log flume used to be. i mean i like the roller coaster idea alot more but if no roller coaster that would be a good spot for the saturator.
