Blue Moon, you're probably right. That was taken on my last trip, May 7, approximately 11:02:58 AM, and was intended as nothing more than a recurring Cedar Fair trash can joke. Now that I look at it again, there are two in the shot, as well as a CC regular in the red shirt.

Keep up the good work, Team Intimidator.

The brake showed up sometime near the end of last season, but didn't seem to get turned on until sometime after opening day. I know I rode Hurler 2 weeks before the end of the season last year and on opening day this year and never felt / heard the trim.

Last month, it was definitely on, and it kills the ride. Sucks the life right out of it. Reports are that KD's Hurler has the exact same trim setup, with the same effect on the ride. One reviewer called the park Kings Triminion. I LOL'd.

The ride didn't feel a bit smoother, but this was up front where it usually isn't bad. There was ZERO, as in NO airtime. Maybe it's more rideable in the back rows now, but I tend to doubt it. I'm one of the bigger Hurler fanboys on this site, second only to Jay I think  - and I have no interest in riding it in this state whatsoever. Hurler's first drop has never been anything special, and the layout isn't that interesting, so 95% of it's attraction for me was the airtime it delivered. The other 5% was flying through the first 2 curves at high speed.

If it's going to stay like this, I'll sadly have to join the "Taer it down!" and build a new GCI in it's place crowd. Even better would be a GCI elsewhere and a fixed Hurler, but I ain't holding my breath for that.

Gotcha. I rode it about a month after opening day and it was definitely NOT on then lol. It was as crazy as ever. It's a bit too rough so i'd probably like it better now.

Yea I noticed the trim I think on opening day, but everytime I had rode this year I didnt feel it or anything. I havent rode it for a good while though. That sucks that they turned it on and it kills the ride. Hurler is one of my favorites at the park, I like the jerkyness and all that of the ride. Oh well I will have to check it out the next time I go to the park.

Chocolate poisoning first affects a bird's digestive system, causing vomiting and diarrhea. As the condition progresses, the bird's central nervous system is affected, first causing seizures and eventually death.

Nice. I counted both a Christmas Story reference, and a Ren & Stimpy reference.

Oh and apparently Carowinds is using our newest prolific poster to make their signage. FAIL.
