well those cylinders in the back could be footer forms, but I think alot of grading will occur before that happens. They look more like sewer drains to me.

I agree, Those pipes do look like sewer drains. With the new road, they would be needed. Any idea on when the main entrance may be closed? Late July perhaps?

I just had to do one more concept of the Giga. Sporting a Teal track and off-white supports.

I definitely hope so. I like a lot of air time and speed. You'd get that during the beginning of this one, then towards the end, low lying track to give extra speed, but not gut-wrenching like i305. Plus, I think that the colors will make for an impressive skyline. Either that or a full white coaster. Doesn't matter to me which color scheme is chosen as long as it is not another red coaster.

I'd say a release date will be even sooner, lately Cedar Fair has been announcing their BIG coasters earlier than usual. For example:

Leviathan: August 18th, 2011
Gatekeeper: August 13th, 2012
Banshee: August 8th, 2013

Check out what I just found... I guess the early blue prints were right after all...

This is how I expect the road to be. Then I added the new coaster, well, what I perceive it to be based on the pictures I posted. We'll see what happens soon enough.

Could be right. Looks like Cedar fair have been working with them on several past projects in their portfolio.

Rougarou? I absolutely hate that word and the legend lol. Hey lets go ride Rougarou....just no!! The legend is correct. It's a human with a wolf or dog head that preys on humans. My aunt lives in New Orleans and use to tell us the rougarou would come and kill us if we told lies and misbehaved.

Centurion/Fury 325/Rougarou?

Now THAT sounds like a name for a giga coaster with Teal track! The Clermont Steel Fabricators plant in Ohio has four colors of track outside now. Teal (for Carowinds), Yellow and Orange (for Europe), and White (for China) so this makes sense. :D

That's a good question. I'm still trying to figure how it would simply fit in with carowinds. It's just so out there. Does the Carolinas have any legends? I did see something about a Santer from western NC that lived in swamps and preyed on livestock that had long legs and feet, small eyes and a long ugly lol... The Santer....no not thats not hitting it for me either. my mind was set on Centurion.

Wow these names just keep getting worse and worse. Lol. Seriously though, Centurion is still the one I'm pulling for. It just sounds the best to my ear.

But foreal, rougarou or whatever is probably the awfulest name of anything ever... Js.

The animated images of the new toll plaza look fantastic btw. Can't wait!!
