I'll look for a picture and I'll post when I find it.
Also, here is the giga to go along with my train renderings. The teal track. The same, except I added two more hills and the figure-eight turnaround.

I'm impressed with the style of the toll booths, which I agree, look like the plantation house.

I'm also impressed with how the gentlemen who's at the head of Cedar Fair talks about things like this. He's mentioned in interviews that they're concerned about the history of the individual parks, and that each park has it's own identity. He used Knotts Berry Farm as an example, but you could assume that hopefully they feel the same about Carowinds.

Another thing to note, if you go to Carowinds.com , the plantation house is featured prominently on some pages. https://www.carowinds.com/hours-directions/carowinds for instance.

I agree that the whole area needs a refresh, but I don't think they should tear the house down, and don't believe that they will.

On their facebook page, too, whoever runs that... I don't know what kind of position they have or what they know or don't know, but when talking about the wooden coasters they mentioned that the park loves all their wooden coasters and won't be getting rid of them. They talked fondly of the Carousel and how important it was for them to get it up and running, and even called the Skytower the park's "Beloved" skytower.

So I believe, and hope, that the higher ups @ Carowinds get and understand the importance of the history of the park, and growing smartly without destroying the very few things (like the plantation house) that remain from the original park.

Kind of funny they would take down the renderings but if anyone looked at all the blueprints then you would already know what it was going to look like. Yes, I know there is a difference but...Toll Plaza

Reading back thru all these pages a lot of us are all over the place. Some of the posts are sarcasm (and rightfully so), some are funny (I think because of youth) and some are just plain sad (as the word clueless comes to mind).

I was thinking about just making a simple FACT list. Not speculation, just facts. I like to play the fantasy game too but I really don't want my Christmas present before Christmas. I just want to be teased.

Oh, and can some of you please learn to spell or at least read what you post before submitting. Built in spellchecker is awesome.

The only facts that we know (at least I think these are facts) are as follows:
New Coaster.
-height--------------- 325'
-length--------------- 6,000+'
-manufacturer----- Bolliger & Mabillard
-type------------------- Giga
-trains----------------- sit-down 4 abreast (Leviathan style trains)
-location-------------- Thrill Zone out and back to entrance
-color track--------- Teal
-color supports---- unknown (perhaps off-white)
-name---------------- Fury325, Centurion (I hope), Rougarou ( I hope NOT)

Then of course we already know the route of the new road and location of the toll plaza, which we have already seen.
Hope this helps :)

Don't forget, Blueprints show "ride tunnel" by new entrance... could be a "fly under" instead of a "fly over". We man get some homage paid to a coaster "under the bridge".

It would be really cool to have the coaster fly into a tunnel, come out, do a figure 8 turn around, then fly right back into the same tunnel.
