I went to the park for a while this afternoon and got some construction photos. It's coming along really quick!!! I'd say at this rate we may be seeing at least a little vertical construction before the announcement.




They are getting ready to pour footers!!!!

The teasers are getting interesting.

So, first, we had "8th wonder of the world?" and a map of the ancient world.

Next, we had a banner with "Rome wasn't built in a day" and roman numerals announcing the annoucement date.

Up until then, I was onboard with the slight possibility that maybe they were just screwing with us, since we jumped to the 'ancient world' conclusion with the ancient map banner.

Now though, they've got the huge splash screen on the front page of Carowinds.com (as shown above by a previous poster).

The picture in the background is of the Roman Forum, the historical center of ancient Rome, where all the temples, palaces, and government buildings lie in ruins.

So either they're trolling HARRRRRDDDDD on us (Roman. Forum.) or there really is something Roman about this coaster

Haha. Yes. I spelled it "break" instead of "brake". That tends to happen when you rush a fairly long post using the touchscreen keyboard on your phone. At least I used a homophone of the word "brake". Lol.

But trust and believe I have not comitted the worst atrocity to the English language on this forum!

Based on the countdown on the official site, the announcement will be at 11:00 a.m. on the 21st (same time that the Intimidator announcement was). Also, they've done their roman numerals wrong and it actually says 7.21.2014. So I guess it was two days ago.

I googled the footings for Leviathan, Banshee and Skyrush and they look more like B&M to me.

Based on the countdown on the official site, the announcement will be at 11:00 a.m. on the 21st (same time that the Intimidator announcement was). Also, they've done their roman numerals wrong and it actually says 7.21.2014. So I guess it was two days ago.

Good catch. Interesting because the banner they hung inside the park was correct with the 8/21/201 date. I bet that gets fixed pretty quickly online.

The similarities in that picture are crazy.. a Giga being built over a go cart track, with a roller coaster visible nearby with two loops and a double corkscrew...

None of the pictures i've seen today have any round footers. Above some of leviathans footers are square, but some are round.
