Jonathan touched on this, but here is a quick reminder. When you joined Carowinds Connection you agreed to the Code of Conduct. Please keep the following in mind:

1. Flaming: Do not post messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten, or mock other members. Debates are fine and even encouraged, but you must critique the opinion, not the person.

2. Trolling: Do not post topics with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. Disagreeing with an opinion is not trolling. Even if a person has an opinion that seems illogical or senseless to you, they have the right to express that opinion, and you must respect it even if you disagree.

There have been way too many comments that violate #1 and #2 above and it's getting out of hand.

Keep these rules in mind for your future posts.

Thank you

Can we all agree that aside from extreme weather conditions (low temps/thunderstorm/etc), Fury 325 can test/run at any time. Just because it's raining doesn't mean they won't test it.

I believe the minimum temp for B&M's to operate is somewhere around 40° or 42° so as long as it's above those temps they can and will test when needed.

Here at the beginning the test will be sporadic as they adjust brakes, set stopping points, etc, but once all of that is set then they will start constantly testing all day and night (if needed) to be ready. I'd bet that the week or so before Opening Day there won't be a time that you look at the webcams and DON'T see it running - with all three trains.

RollerBee wrote:"The Fury" and "Fury" are both proper English. As for not saying "325", I doubt Carowinds will shorten the official name. Is refering to Cyclone as "Cyclone" rather than "Carolina Cyclone" any different?
Does anyone know if any park has a trademark on the name "Fury" like Carowinds had "Fury 325" trademarked?

I don't have a problem calling it "Fury". I already do. But this was a proper name in a professional setting. If they had said "Carowinds is unveiling the first POV of their new coaster FURY 325." and then said something like "Fury will open on March 28th." I wouldn't have noticed. USA Today should be more professional than to use a colloquialism like that in a formal title.

Unless, of course, they think the name is "The Fury". In which case, their information is just... wrong.

Hopefully Carowinds will move the Fury 325 webcam back further left to cover more (or all) of the lift hill. That will make for a more pleasant experience of watching the testing over the next few weeks.

If they just eliminated the current overlap between the two cams, it would probably allow for viewing most of the lift hill.

Even if it does the brakes are magnetic instead of friction so it ain't going to pull a Maggie on them.

I've watched the POV numerous times now, as most of you I am sure. I've been training my eye to look at the horizon line during each of the turns. In most cases, the horizon line will go vertical, but the turn just prior to the far turnaround appears to be overbanked as seen in my attached screenshot. This, assuming the GoPro was placed perfectly level, which it appears to be. Loving Fury 325 more and more!
