General Carowinds discussion

Edit: It's now the graphic for the opening day countdown on carowinds.com as well. It's a small detail but still a pity, as they likely shelled out good money for an advertising firm to miss the mark. Even GP can tell it's not the correct track type.

I sooooo cant wait until the day we can say "thank you Carowinds" and leave out the "but...". Why are we always point out the "bad" and always over emphasizing it? Ok, personally if you don't like it its ok. I personally don't like...more so understand a Carolina cobra but you know what...I realize that's my personal opinion and a lot of times it doesn't have to be shared. I'm sure the park had to approve the graphic and was satisfied with it. They could have done a regular countdown. I just wish we, as a fan site, would find more constructive criticism of more important things other than a different track style used in a countdown. Is the park doing THAT great that the only thing we can complain about is the track style in a countdown. I guess if that's the case...carry on complainers.

They are just painting everything underneath the entrance hence the reason the building is tarped. They don't want overspray getting all over the other buildings.

The whole park is going to be blessed with that "New Coaster" smell.

I'm thinking we should see a lot of testing today. Weather here is supposed to be awesome! 70 and sunny all day.

All I'm saying is the graphic artist might have been under the influence of something strong when they rendered that retro-future Arrow track. Coasterbruh is entirely correct as it's odd to see that track associated with Carowinds' flagship B&M mainly because the park has set an excellent precedent for all things Fury.

Now I would actually like to move on to addressing the color of the asphalt, which I think is entirely wrong. I was hoping for something in the slate family but this is straight-up dark charcoal and I'm disappointed. Lol but in all seriousness it's crazy how much progress is going down this Sunday!

One more difference I can draw between Fury 325 and Leviathan is that Fury looks like it was designed to be a giga coaster where as Leviathan is more similar to a hyper. Leviathan was the test coaster after all, so that's to be expected. I think with Leviathan, B&M tried to super-size a hyper. With Fury 325, B&M intended to make it a giga coaster and put even more emphasis on speed.
