It's been a long, long... long.. year and half of speculation and hype. I encourage everyone to leave their computer for a while and do literally anything else.

I don't want to be a part of a website where people can't be excellent to each other at all times. I want a website I can be proud of, I wish you guys would say the same.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I haven't posted in a week or so. Thank you Jay!

Yes they are probably juniors or seniors in high school. Or even college students..idk

Looked at the students in that photo for about ten seconds before realizing how much I love that stonework on the bridge!

^ It does look nice.

I want to see the view of the park from across the new bridge. It will be so open this year. :D

[Edit] I really like this picture from Mike's twitter:

Well, I retract my earlier statement. Those TEENS will benefit from this tour. It's a great way to get them interested in a future occupation in the amusement industry. I hope that they learned a lot today.

I guess they are using two trains?

I can confirm. It looked to be going fast before the camelback... But it CRAWLED over that thing. Ibtjought it was going to valley

Ok guys I'm at the drop off lot now and apparently they are using 2 trains. One have the dummies and the other doesn't. The one with the dummies must still have the nylon wheels on because the train without the dummies isn't as fast as the prior and it's barely making it over the airtime hill before the helix. I'm actually waiting for it to roll back to be honest any slower it will. The chain is mad quiet tho!

One reason its slower is because it doesn't have as much weight on it than the one with water dummies.

Ok so what y do we stick with the polyurethane wheels? Do they last longer or something because nylon wheels is working just fine for me if it's letting this train fly through all that track.

Where did the whole wheel theory come from? I'm not doubting it, just intrigued. Same questions as above? Why switch the wheels? Also, do they really switch the wheels after testing? That seems like it defeats the whole purpose? I assume it's different wheels for different temperatures, but I don't know.

I'm happy to come put some weight in one of the seats on the non-water dummy train to help it along. :)

And, Chris, to answer your question, this was on page 338 of this thread:

cameronmbrown1 wrote:There was an interview on the WBTV radio station today and apparently right now they are using Nylon wheels which makes it move faster so at the moment, the ride is probably moving faster than it is going to later this month when it opens. When it opens, they are going to use Polyurethane wheels which will move slower on the tracks. When I say slower I mean like 5-10 miles an hour slower so not that much slower but it's still slower.

Cameron said that he heard it on a radio station from a carowinds rep.
