It's a wonder posting that you were "looking for some action from the drop off lot" didn't get you arrested, lol!

So I have a quick little question for you Carowinds locals. I am going the Saturday after opening (April 4th) with a couple friends and I want to ride Fury a bare minimum of twice. I also want to ride Intimidator, Afterburn, and Nighthawk a good deal (or at least once or twice on Nighthawk). Is Fast Lane Plud worth getting if my friends and I don't want to wait more than an hour for Fury? I just wanna maximize ride time while minimizing wait time so that we can do EVERYTHING in the park as I only go about once every 3 years.

While I do not live locally, here is what I'd recommend. First, you mention that you do not get to the park often, so I'd recommend maximizing ride time to the best of your ability. If you lived 10 minutes down the road and could go nearly any day, I'd recommend against Fast Lane Plus. However, you never know what the weather and crowds will be like. If you do not mind overlooking a possible discounted price on the Fast Lane (maybe $5 or $10 if you buy in advance), I'd budget Fast Lane Plus but play it by ear. Get to the park, and see how things are. Maybe you need it, and maybe you won't. By budgeting for it, you have that pass paid for it you need it. If you don't need it, use the money for other things like gas, souvenirs, or some of the new food options that Carowinds will have this year!

I must say while I do enjoy the current angle on cam 1 as a view for testing ( and a nice view of the Charlotte skyline), I do also kinda miss being able to see the progress going on in the area outside the station.

Here's my opinion, for what it's worth...

If you want to ride Nighthawk more than once, go with the Fastpass Plus. Even on slow days at the park, the line for Nighthawk is at least 1 hour long. If Nighthawk isn't that important to you, then I would probably play it by ear once I saw how busy the park was. I will say that is the first Saturday of CMS spring break, so I would guess it will be pretty busy that day.

Ditto what ecmveryone else said about Fastlane. If an hour or two after the park opens, it's warranted, you'll know. If you have a platinum pass, they used to give you a discount. Do they still? I know I got a good discount at KI in 2012.
