Galvanized steel or aluminum, less of a need for paint to protect the structure from pitting rust. Surface rust wouldn't comprise the structure for longer amount time.

I agree it looks terrible but my point was that there is little to no structural reason to paint it, it wasn't installed in 1995 with paint.

Just heard about if you renew your season pass by October 31st you get (1) free bring-a-friend ticket and (1) fast lane plus pass. Sounds like a good deal for $92. Was wondering if the fast lane plus pass has to be used for the pass holder. Wanted to give it to my bring-a-friend guest.

My point is other than looks there is no reason to paint Ripcord which is likely why they didn't paint it.

I renewed mine and didn't see anything about Bring-A-Friend tickets. Did they just start doing this as I renewed mine last week? Where did you hear this?

The point EVERYONE else was making was that the ride looks bad, and they moved it front and center. You're having w conversation about the structure basically by yourself. I couldn't care less about structural integrity, the ride looks bad and would look better painted.

I think it is for each pass renewed. I am not sure if this is a targeted marketing campaign intended for certain pass holders but it seems like for everyone. They emailed it to me today.

So appearently there was a scuffle today around 7pm upon me running to my car and back. Looks to be a group of teens and one of them was lying on the ground holding his side. I was told he was shot yet I didn't hear any gun fire so I don't know how true it is. He was bleeding bad tho.
