And less we forget holiday world and Alabama adventure with their free drinks all day. No souvenir cups, all disposable. Do they have a problem with waste?

I'd imagine that yes, they probably have a huge problem with waste. It blows my mind just how many cups the average guest probably goes through each day there. Apparently it takes 20 years for a paper cup to break down in a landfill. People just assume their trash disappears magically after they toss it, but it has to go somewhere.

IM not sure but I was always under the impression that the free drink parks did recycle those cups (which was another reason for the Pepsi oasis being seperate, a lot of this cups get thrown away right there).

I don't believe they do, or at least I can't find any evidence of it. Knoebels does recycle their paper cups and has signs at their recycling bins encouraging you to toss the soda cups in.

^^ That works great if people use them. Next time you're in a place where recycle cans are right next to garbage cans, take a quick peek inside. There will be tons of plastic and aluminum in the garbage when the recycle bin is RIGHT THERE. I'm definitely for the recycle but I will never buy a souvenir cup simply for the reason that I don't want to have to carry anything around the park. Maybe I'm in the minority... but that's just me.

I totally am with you, USCbandfan.

If they adopt and an all-season drink plan that I don't have carry around with me, I will probably buy it.

If they don't, I will continue to skip the drink plan. I'd rather drink water than have to deal with that bottle.

Water is better for you anyways
Haven't had any soda in over a year and I'm glad for that, haha.
As long as the park always offers free water, it's good in my book.

Yeah, even if I had the option of unlimited numbers of soda refills, I would still be drinking water out of my all-season cup 80% of the time or more. I'd buy the freaking all-season drink plan just for the bigger cups of water I could get. It would be great if I didn't have take 5 of those little plastic cups just to wash down an especially disappointingly dry burger at Harmony Hall.

kidding... no. not kidding

Sometimes, if you just ask for a big cup for water only, they will let you have one.
Notice I said sometimes, haha.
