I cannot pull up this information from the website for some reason so maybe you guys can help.

How much does a Gold Pass go for?
The full price, and can it be ordered online at the full price.

I've never gotten one before, so is it really worth it?

^^ Is the gold pass worth it? If you intend to visit three or more times this year, it's worth it. If you intend to visit one or two times, and don't need parking, it's not.

^^...and the payment plan is great since they don't charge any interest or extra fees. I just have it linked to my PayPal account and they charge me every month. I always like using other people's money for free.

If you go twice, the silver pass is worth it. We usually get 2 silvers and 1 gold for the 3 of us because we usually plan on going at least twice and I use the gold for parking. That is just a bit better than breaking even. If even the POSSIBILITY exists that you'll go 3 times, it's worth it. We usually end up going 3 times so its REALLY worth it for us.

In my opinion I wouldn't buy one if I planned to go 3 times, maybe even 4. Why? Because I don't think Carowinds (or parks in general!!) are really WORTH their gate price.

I don't remember the price of a single Carowinds ticket, but let's say it's $50. I do think the first visit of a year is worth that. But after you've already been once in a season, IMO the value of going a second time in the season is worth a bit less, idk, $25. Then after I've already been to a park twice in a season, I personally wouldn't want to pay more than $20 for a third visit, and so on, decreasing slower as time goes on, approaching an asymptote of maybe $10-$15?

I just made those numbers up but basically in my mind a true "break even" (based on personal value rather than ticket value) is between 4-5 trips. If I knew I could only go a maximum of 2-3 times, I'd probably scrap it and just go once.

This is all just personal opinion, and may change when I become a "real adult" with a regular work schedule and family. But in my experience I usually either go to a park once, or I would go to Carowinds like 5 to 12 times a season when I was younger. In high school I only went 2-3 times per season and I always felt like I was on the borderline of getting value for my pass, but back then the passes were only like $80!

Well, value isn't the question here. It's actual dollars.

Usually, the discount price is something like $40. (Regular price being in the $60s.)

So, if you go twice, you've spent around $80 per person at the discount price. For close to around $80, you can STILL get a silver pass that will let you go as many times as you want. (We usually get one of our 3 passes gold for $15 more which is the price of parking. We go twice and that's doubled its worth as well.)

So, if you go twice or more, it's financially worth it to get a pass...

Whether you think the VALUE of the experience is worth it is an entirely different question..

So, is there something going on with White Water Falls??? It's gone from the website. It's no longer listed under family rides. Or maybe they forgot it when the updated the rides listing.
