I went to the park for season pass processing today, there are now walk through metal detectors at the main gate.

Yes, season pass processing was open last year during season pass preview but expect a long line.

The metal detectors were put at about a distance of 7 feet away from the main structure, and its a line of about 8 structures in one row, each with two metal detectors under the structure.

I am currently trying to renew my pass from last year (I had a platinum last year because of a trip to KI, CP, and KD but am just getting gold this year) but I seem to have misplaced my pass from last year. Is there anyway to get the renewal price instead of paying full price even if I lost my pass? Thanks!

New to this site and have a couple of questions. Hopefully this is the right place to do so, if not please direct me to the correct area.

1. The wife and I are thinking about taking our daughter to opening day. How bad are the crowds on the first official day?

2. We are contemplating doing season passes for the first time and was wondering about the process time once we get there. I plan on purchasing the passes online and in the pass we have always gotten to the park at opening to try and take advantage of the smaller crowds as the only time we get to go is on the weekends.

Unfortunately we can't make it to the SP preview on 3/24 as that's my moms bday and we live about 2hr15min from the park.

With the weather looking as promising as it is, you'll probably have a lot of crowds to deal with on opening day this year.

From what I remember, if you buy your passes online then the time it takes to process your pass will be greatly reduced.

The weather looks nice, but I can't remember opening day ever being that crowded except for Fury opening day, and even then most of the other rides had short lines.

I've been to opening day the last few years, fury's opening was kinda busy but usually it's dead. I figure SP preview may be hopping, it has the last two years.
