The park hasn’t made a comment. Everyone here has decided based on no evidence that they closed early due to attendance. Without a single shred of evidence.

I have had this happen to me with a few other regional parks where they closed early (or didn't open at all) without details.

I don't sweat the small stuff, I just figure I'll visit another time. I've tried to get to Galveston Pleasure Pier three times, and all 3 attempts they have been closed even though they were scheduled to be open (and it's a 19 hour drive for me). I figured they didn't want my money that day, although in reality my money probably wasn't nearly enough to cover all of their operating costs or there were weather safety concerns.
