Phantaisaland will be building the longest and first ever launched flying coaster for 2018 or possibly 2019 giving the amount of theming they surround their rides with.

It's being thrown around that it will indeed be manufactured by Vekoma with I guess a new breed of the Flying Dutchman. Better trains and restraints.

Well this is quite interesting as a possible addition for Busch Gardens Tampa for 2018: Enclosing Sand Serpent (the park's wild mouse coaster for those who don't know). While it may be cool what they do with something like this, the park really needs to add something to bring folks back; particularly the 54" and above crowd. I suppose they will add some sort of 3D experience to it like some other parks have done or add VR (kind of pointless since you'd be wearing goggles...but ok. I guess being enclosed they would add an indoor attraction for the lovely unpredicable FL weather.

SandSerpent at Busch Gardens Tampa to be Enclosed
According to permits recently filed by Busch Gardens Tampa, SandSerpent will be enclosed for the 2018 season. The wild mouse style roller coaster in Pantopia will have a building constructed around it, which will also house the queue area of the ride. The coaster is also sometimes listed as Sand Serpent (two words) and was formerly known as Cheetah Chase until Cheetah Hunt was opened in 2011.

Testing around the site, including four boring locations, was completed in the last several weeks. It appears from paperwork filed with the permit application that the site can support a structure being built around the roller coaster.

There is no confirmed timeline for this project, although its completion date is expected sometime in 2018. By fully enclosing SandSerpent and the queue, it should allow the roller coaster to continue normal operation during inclement weather at the park, adding to the limited options available to guests during thunderstorms and heavy rain.

In regards to the permits: I can't seem to find them and they posted no screenshots or links to them.

ORLANDO, Fl. – Skyline Attractions has altered the landscape of thrill rides with its latest scream maker- Skywarp. As part of the company’s third anniversary, Skyline is excited to announce the sale of their first of many Skywarps, which will make its public debut in the summer of 2018. This exciting experience offers 32 passengers a unique journey as they board the competing ride vehicles. The train begins rocking back and forth, building up to full speed before completing several thrilling forward and reverse rotations through the twin Immelmann inversions.

The unique concept was first shown to the world at the 2016 IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, Florida. This annual event is the world’s largest showcase of rides and Skywarp was one of the most unique concepts displayed. This innovative attraction combines the speed, inversions, and capacity of a big coaster with a fraction of the necessary investment needed. The clever design of Skywarp allows it to deliver the thrills a modern rider expects, with the reliability, ease of maintenance, and ultra-compact footprint that fits in nearly any park.

“Skywarp has everything that operators of all sizes desire: Big impact, big thrills, big visibility, and big capacity with a small footprint and a small price,” said Evan Souliere, founding partner of Skyline Attractions.

The small 120 foot by 30 foot footprint allows for the placement of the attraction in nearly any location, and topping out at 62 feet in height it can even fit in many indoor locations.

“The flexibility of Skywarp, combined with the excitement it delivers to guests, makes it a great addition to any park. We are thrilled to be placing the first of what we believe will be many Skywarp attractions,” commented Chris Gray, Vice President at Skyline Attractions. “Stop by and see us at booth 5808 at the 2017 IAAPA Attractions Expo as we unveil where the first Skywarp will be taking guests on a wild ride,” he continued.

Ride Entertainment is the sales partner for Skyline Attractions.

For me I feel and agree with other enthusiasts that CF maybe pulling a new marketing tactic. The "they're" in the CP teasers feels as if the are talking of both RMCs that are both the same color and are both opening in 2018. I'm not saying they'll have the exact same themes or names tho, but when you go to KD's teasers you have the 816 which can be the announcement date as that is national rollercoaster day or something that could hint to WoF as that is Kansas City's area code as WoF is now being rumored to get a coaster along with CGA which make up for the 4 coaster hinted earlier. The design however gives off if in fact it's a RMC Hurler teas then it could have a horror/sci-fi theme and name or they could simply be teasing a new haunt attraction.

The second, 20 is better than 4, gives me a vibe that we could be seeing 16 other attractions whether flat rides, water rides/ slides or shows added to parks across the chain. The "T" in better is situated as such to look like the I-box track from RMC which of coarse ties in the RMCs coming next season.

That last one I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's directly for KD. May they could get a new haunt and new show along with the RMC?

I don't know just my thought process when I start getting excited around this time of year for next season additions.

What are you thoughts. Let's chat a little.

What name did you have a problem saying!?!? I kinda take these trademarks with a grain of salt now as I have seen plenty trademarked and never seen the light of day.

Uhhhh Rogourou or however it's spelled and many had issues with Valravn. I've also read that name people may have a problem with the name as it was a standup coaster at SixFlags Mid America now St Louis back in the 80s that had an accident and killed a person. Then again New Texas Giant is still with us sooo...
