If anyone wants to get some good views of this go to barracuda blasters in Carolina Harbor and go to the 2nd flight of stairs and you get a great close up view of all of the construction I was there today but I forgot to take a picture when I was all the way up there.

Good Idea! Might have to do some slides and try out my little camera with waterproof box on it, its similar to a go pro style camera. Also, the camera for Camp Snoopy is back up once again. Construction camera is still down.

Let’s start thinking about other things that we will be seeing for 2019 (besides the coaster and flyers) I have noticed that the arcade could use a new location/renovation it just seems a bit old for all of the things around it. I could also see something going in the thrill zone section around hurler and drop tower because it seems like that area is going down a bit and it hasn’t really received anything new in a while.

The park can only invest so much in one season and Mack’s aren’t cheap (ICON according to RCDB was $19M). If any area gets touched in addition to the coaster/flyers it needs to be Crossroads (old county fair). Rip out those game stands to open the area, continue with the brick pavers, add those round brick planter/seating that Cedar Fair loves so much. Also that bathroom not only looks bad, I’m sure many don’t even see it there.

As far as the coaster, give it something resembling theming instead of just sowing some grass underneath. As much as I don’t care for Nighthawk it has a nice setting, I’m hoping they have something planned. If a Raptor clone can do rockwork and water, why can’t this?

Exactly!!

The lake has been severely diminished over the years, 3/4th of the park's water rides (Saturator, log flume, WWF) have been removed, and several fountains have been destroyed as well.

Another small pond, some rock work, and maybe a small fountain in the ride's plaza would go a long way towards making this ride stand out and restore some water to the park as a whole.

They still have a good about of space in the area too for future rides.

I could see this old storage building getting torn down at some point. I doubt this year cause I'm sure work would of already started but nice chuck of land for the future.

That is another original building that use to serve as another employee cafe but the last 20 years it's just been a junk room and a place to store character costumes.

I'd love to see that opened up.

Picture didn't load on the first.

It could be used for a few flat rides or possibly a turnaround for the next coaster that could occupy the DA area and go over the pathway to interact with guest. Just a few options.

That building is used to store Winterfest props, it's nor getting torn down in the near future if ever.

Maybe they took it down for a reason....

I think we could see a total expansion of crossroads going all the way over to the construction fence at carolina harbor. I could see the old bath house being rennovated into a bathroom for use and this big area open up and a few flats in the future. i think beside dogems there will be a path that goes over to the placa for the entrance of the new coaster and it will somehow connect over where wwf entrance was, or somewhere in this general area. I think there will be a lot of room and the entry to the coaster doesnt have to be right off the current paths, they can easily make a whole new area in the "middle". I think the coaster would interact with the paths etc a lot, and of course if the blueprint is accurate, with itself as well. I think the current crossroads the games and possibly ritas will get demolished and the flying eagles will return somewhere over in this area. As far as other areas in the park, I dont think we will see much of anything as this will probably be over $30 mil as it is... Guess we will see! So much potential but I know whatever they do will be great!

Hey guys, I've just finished my last semester at MIT which was awesome but also means I haven't been able to keep up with this site at all. Does anyone want to offer a very brief summary of the recent updates in this thread? Don't worry if nobody wants to, it's definitely on me to read back if I wanna know what's going on, but I just thought I'd ask because I'm kinda overwhelmed by the number of pages I've missed.

I compiled a list of all the information about this new coaster here.

Screamscape is saying that the manufacturer is Mack Rides, and that is corroborated by the fact that footer cages similar to other rides of theirs have arrived.

Glad to see the site back up!

Hopefully by this weekend some footers will have been poured. It really sucks not being able to see what is going on from the webcam. I would think they would get as much done this week as possible though with weekly operation only a few days away. I hope to get back to the park if not this weekend, then one day next week, for some more pictures and an update on what is happening. Maybe supports will start arriving in the next few weeks as well.
