There is a filtering station and also it is a holding area for when the ride turns off. Half of the water goes into that area and fills up, and the rest of the water collects at the end/bottom of the ride.

It’s worth noting that the park has updated the ride lists on the website with Copperhead Strike and Mountain Gliders, yet RRR is still not on the site. It could be that they’re waiting until May, when the ride usually opens, to list it on the website. But it seems odd that they would ignore putting it on the site.

Maybe a hint at 2020? Calico Rapids-style re-do?

^ Waiting until May when the ride opens? Umm No. 1)The ride has been opening in May for at least 3yrs now and they've place the disclaimer that the ride opens in late May on underneath the pic on the scheduled closed list as well as the profile of the ride. 2) That would cause them to take the ride off the website only to put it back up again a few moths later. This isn't a easy drop in website. This is a CSS / HTML or possibly a PHP site with crazy coding most likely. It takes time to add and remove stuff without jacking up the whole site. One wrong symbol or character can kill the whole site.

Also speaking as a web developer, I agree HTML and PHP are easy. Even CSS is easy, it just gets annoying as times goes on to keep track of everything.

Back on topic, it makes no sense to remove the ride from the site just bc it’s not open until May. They haven’t done that in previous years. I definitely think we are getting a refurbishment and retheme for the 2020 season very similar to what KBF is doing.

A) Y’all grossly overestimated how hard it is to edit a page on Cedar Fair websites (source: I was personally friends with the person who designed those sites when the company was switching everything from Paramount to CF). It’s not that hard.

B) All you have to do is look at the chain to to see the future of our park (and RRR) is look at the chain as a whole. And pay attention to quarterly calls. And look at trends. It’s pretty easy to figure out even when you aren’t getting direct info on future plans.

Let me bring some up to speed . . .
RRR was taken off the site on purpose and it RRR will not show up under rides this year (or any year again ) .

So does that mean you have inside knowledge? When I worked at Carowinds I would get reamed if I posted anything online. They could just as easily retheme/rename it and bring it back next year

Not sure who runs this but I guess someone updated it:

"Rip Roarin' Rapids is a former boat ride at Carowinds. It is now closed. The minimum height to ride is 46 inches."

It's been rather obvious for a while that Cedar Fair is slowly updating pretty much the entire park one area at a time, and frankly that whole corner of the park exists for most of the season as "the path to Fury" rather than being engaging on its own.

So yeah, probably a retheme, quite possibly from the same company doing the themeing for Copperhead Strike. I wouldn't be surprised to see another new "land" in that area from Starbucks over to Scrambler with a new restaurant to replace Burrito Cafe and maybe another small flat.
