General Carowinds discussion

The Yellow Track is being placed into Shipping Containers for shipment. Those that know if the Yellow was heading to anywhere in the US or Canada then it would be placed on Flatbeds for shipment. It is REAL safe to say that the yellow is heading over the pond. Now it was called to my attention that the Red Track is alot larger than the yellow that leads me to say that the Hyper is coming. Now this is just a gut feeling and should be treated as that.

Also I am at a lose that a Screamscape can get the KD Fanboys up in a roar but I will agree that Roller hit the nail on the head with the fireworks. Plus who is running Carowinds now and that should answer your question at what is and what might be coming in the future and when did or has Vekoma ever gave away free coaster trains?

RollerNut wrote:I am starting to doubt a hyper coaster, KI already had footers in at this point. However, I do believe the new coaster will be taller than Cobra and Afterburn. As far as KD goes, I don't think they are getting anything the size of what Carowinds is getting, if any coaster. I read KDFansite that the fireworks will be launched from behind Anaconda, and that is my guess as to what the new clearing is.

Can someone confirm that is parking lot is coming up? I read at TPR that it is.

roller how many times must it be pointed out that...
1)ki has a very different terrain
2) the temp carowinds gets in the offseason is no way near the low temps ki get so therefore concrete can be poured at any time.

Look how late carolina coral cobra was constructed...

This is getting very interesting now. Compared to the yellow track in the photo there is now speculation that the red track is too large to be hype track but appears to be for a Dive Machine. Would you folk be happy with a Dive Machine at Carowinds? I have mixed feelings about it but at this point would welcome almost anything as long as it is not used, borrowed and blue like Head Spin.

I can't see them buying a B&M vertical drop coaster.

I'd much rather have a B&M hyper any day.

I loved Griffon don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't have the appeal that a hyper does to me. Even if we got a bit smaller hyper, say an Apollo cloan of sorts, I'd be very happy with that as Apollo is still in my top 5.

Completely agreed. A.C is an amazing ride.

As long as you let me ride it as much as I want, that's fine with me ;-).

Like I said elsewhere, based on multiple hints and resources, as well as my own hopes and dreams, my guesses:

Red & Yellow
260 ft tall

And KD is getting something pretty decent next year.

Busch Gardens, though, I've been told to get there and get your rides in. On what? Well, just do it on everything you like. :(
